September 26, 201212 yr The Dcons are in beast mode. Anybody care to guess the numbers? Please run some all thread between each sub from to back and use lock washers, flat washer and nuts. If a sub pops out full tilt you will unload the closest one and probably blow 2 subs at once. I hate to say it again but I honestly wouldn't even play it until I did that if it was mine. You could probably put a shoulder in it around the port and cave in the entire front baffle the way it is now.
September 26, 201212 yr Author K watts09 i watch the video, makes alot of sense, never looked at it that way, i dont really have a way of bracing it with ready rod but if i find a way i probably will, screws broke cause they were drywall screws haha its all i had at the time. and to everyone else ill have numbers in like a week or so Edited September 26, 201212 yr by hairyunicorn

September 26, 201212 yr Take some thicker all thread or threaded pipe and cut it so it will fit in there (maybe 1/4 in short) then get a threaded foot for each side and screw them on. Put the brace in and unscrew each side by hand against the wood till its very tight. And put 4 screws in each foot to hold in place. You see the same thing in a smaller scale on the stripper poles guys use in major 4th orders. This will will help and I bet it will be louder when braced properly. Any questions just ask. I will help any way I can
September 26, 201212 yr Or could just use wooden dowels or any other strong wood that has smooth edges. Doesn't have to me metal rod, but bracing is a big factor here. Didn't even notice there was none, nice call Swift.
September 26, 201212 yr Author ill just weld some pipe to some flat bar |--------| just like that little drawing there, bracing slipped my mind in this build
September 26, 201212 yr Looks legit man! I love seeing builds like this! The high dollar huge power systems get boring after a while.
September 26, 201212 yr Author thanks man, i appreciate that, im the type of person that will work on something and put tits and lipstick on it but im not going to spend hours and make it perfect perfect, to much work and you need deep pockets and not everyone has that lol
September 26, 201212 yr Wow! Nice build man! I love the way you cleaned out the vehicle first also, great job! Looks really loud. I know 2 12" dcons got silly loud, I could only imagine 6 15s
September 27, 201212 yr Author Welded up some box braces today, there's a noticeable difference, the DCON's slap harder than before, the pictures aren't the best but my phone didn't want to focus in the dark. i should have some numbers tomorrow hopefully.
September 27, 201212 yr Nice! Interested to what you can do on the meter. Careful with that though. You're just going to want to get a higher number... then soon replace Dcons with some Zcons
September 28, 201212 yr Author FINALLY WHAT YOU ALL WANTED!!! I got the DCON's on the termlab today and did a pretty good score. the picture is .1 Db off from the video, this score was done before i took the video, meter on the window, drivers door open, i got the same score doing a 40Hz burp as i did playing BME Click by lil jonhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4bTIw6eXrA&feature=youtu.be
September 28, 201212 yr I think you should rebuild and go to a side port it'll improve your numbers drastically.
September 28, 201212 yr And since you're metering outlaw, move the mic to the kick panel opposite of the open door. Should help as well.
September 28, 201212 yr Author Deep pockets buddy, that i dont have right now, in the future there is a chance i might change it up
September 28, 201212 yr Looks good man! You should be able to improve that score with some minor changes.
September 28, 201212 yr Author Thanks rick!, yeah its gettin pretty close to dropping down to -30c and 5 feet of snow every week so bass comp season is over where i live so that gives me plenty of time to do some calulations and tweek it to prefection when its warm

Without changing equipment I bet you can get to the 150 mark with a rebuild. Good luck!
