What's your budget and how many watts rms per channel are you looking for?

180 to 220 and 2000 rms.

The first two are decent but I do not like P.A. at all. But that's just me. For your budget unless you buy used your very limited.

That hifonics amp is going to require more power to run it at the same level as the soundstream since it's a class a/b amp. The SS is more efficient. Just something to think about. What subs are you using?

I have 1 Fi SSD 15 but I plan on getting one more pretty soon.

What coil config is your current sub?

The links you provided are for mono, 2 channel, and 4 channel amps. Why would you use a 4 channel amp for a sub? Take a look at this http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_23547_Hifonics-Brutus-BRZ1700.1D.html if you're powering a sub, but you need to think about the total ohm load when/if you add another sub.

Then you will need an amp that does the power you need at 2 ohms or find 2 amps that can strap together.

Yeah something that can push them like 1300 rms at 2 ohms.

Focus less on rms figures since they are useless and focus more on making an efficient enclosure. Just make sure you get a reliable amp thats of some good quality.

RMS figures are useless? How so? Just how efficient of an enclosure are you talking about that the amp's power isn't a factor? Like... infinite baffle? Or maybe a 6th order with +12db gain?

I'm going to assume that he meant that a slight difference in power will be inaudible, and that the enclosure will play a far bigger role.

800, 1000, 1300 watts rms : your ears won't feel any difference. So, don't focus on power. Unless you double the power, it's useless to have the more powerful amp for your speakers.

Focus on a good custom box, as it plays a huge factor in how the sub will sound.
