January 14, 201510 yr Anyone have advice on dogs that pull while being walked?JPull back and growl. That works for me.
January 15, 201510 yr Klim stuff normally rocks, but the Elite glove is a joke. Even at $40 I'd feel ripped off. They are uber comfortable for aggressive riding, but if it gets cold they suck donkey dick. Literally the worst glove I have for real cold and I have 6 pairs atm. The next most expensive was $40 Let's say I only want them to be durable and for "cool" weather? And what about with a liner? My hands don't get cold really, but sledding might be different. I rode 3 hours in perforae leather gloves in 30 degree weather on the crotch rocket. I did have to hold one hand on the engine and ride with the other at times.... January 15, 201510 yr Anyone have advice on dogs that pull while being walked?JPinch collar. What breed is your dog?
January 15, 201510 yr Every best listening experience I have had, the speakers were fed by tube amps. When you are put in a smaller room with some 20.1 Maggie's and a pile of McIntosh amps.... Or some Wilson watt puppies..... Yeah man. It was epic.I wish I could afford it.There were watt puppies in the basement of my house when I made my offer. It included them. Everything else in my offer was accepted Of course I shouldn't complain considering I bought the house for 58% of asking price in 07 before the big DROPYou came out ahead no matter what. Those big speakers are nice though.
January 15, 201510 yr bad news is the golf cart is still out of service good news is I got in 8.5 miles of walking today

January 15, 201510 yr Good tips guys. I'll try them out over a bit of time. Her breeding is a mystery honestly. When I got her as a rescue, I thought she was a rottie. From the way she looks now that she has grown up, she seems to be a mix of German Shepard and Black Lab. Add in one hell of a grain allergy, and she is also an expensive dog.J

In the spring sometimes I ride without gloves for hours. Rather amazing what happens to the body. Gloves with liners are absolutely pointless IMO.
January 15, 201510 yr Anyone have advice on dogs that pull while being walked? JShow them who is the alpha of the pack. She knows who the alpha is. She just seems to forget for about 3/4 of the walk. The first and last 1/8th she is fine. Beyond that she keeps trying to pull like a sled dog. JShe has no idea who the alpha is and is trying to tell you that.
January 15, 201510 yr Admin Speaking of pooches, planning on buying a boxer later this year. They are fun, but holy crap they can be nuts.

I have ruined 2 pair of wonder gloves moving sticks and such in the yard. These are tough Fuckers with a lifetime garuntee. They also fit great. So when you say they don't help in the cold, do you mean down to negative 10 or negative 50 and for how long? For warmth alone I am good in simple leather and fur gloves down to some pretty cold temps. But they are horrible for any kind of work.
January 15, 201510 yr At 11 years old my golden labs hips hurt her so bad in winter. She has been peeing on the snowy end of the deck instead of going down the stairs. I don't blame her. She sees me piss off the edge of the deck all the time.
January 15, 201510 yr German commands such as nein work well with dogs. If you pronounce them right, they have a sharp piercing tone that will stop the dog in its tracks. I can quiet a whole room of kids with that tone, as it cracks like thunder.
January 15, 201510 yr Was on a nice maidan voyage with the new Holley carb in the mustang yesterday. Was enjoying myself WAY to much...until I ran out of gas. DOH. Now I know where the gas gauge is at when empty atleast.

If you pronounce them right, they have a sharp piercing tone that will stop the dog in its tracks.I can quiet a whole room of kids with that tone, as it cracks like thunder. My sister moved into a very upscale sub division not long ago,She had adopted a bird dog of some sort as a puppy..She did not want to keep this dog in the house or chain it up,so she spent several hundred dollars on some kind of wire less collar kit that you bury in the ground around the perimeter. When she tested this out for the first time the bird dog ran straight outside the perimeter and around the subdivision running and yelping and rolling around and all kinds of crazy stuff, all the neighbors came out and of course was being nosy to see what was going on,And watched them chase their dog! I know she about had a stroke and was embarrassed as well ,She called and raised hell with the manufacture as this was not suppose to hurt her puppy, not sure on the manufacture but I will find out in a few.
January 15, 201510 yr You can't just put the wireless fence in and let them run, they have to be trained with flagging the perimeter.

I do miss my blue pit though I had a albino staffordshire terrior and a boxer I loved those dogs! The staffordshire died of old age a few years back and the boxer was hit by a car not long after. They would receive a sausage&biscuit, and gravy every sat&sun morning from Hardee's I luved those pups they are a good breed of dogs!
