    No need for 8 gauge! Step down to 12 gauge and wire it to your terminal.

    I dont know about stronger but I do know if your gonna take your sub out a lot it will come in handy instead messing the wood up by taking the screws in and out continuously.

    the q is not an ""SQL"" subwoofer, it is a sq subwoofer. it was not at all intended to get loud. to the o.p. get the bl, tune low and build a good box inside fi's recommendations

    i heard my 1st re sub the other day. it was the 18 xxx from 2007 i believe and it was running off a saz3500 in a 7.5 cube ft box. i must say im glad that i wasnt the one that paid for it. imo big disappointment. the guy that owned it actually took it out and put his set of 12inch rockford p2s back in his car then put the sub on craigslist for half of what he paid for it 2 days after buying it

    fyi when have you heard a sub off of 1000 watts that didnt get loud. just because you whore this forum doesnt mean you know shit.....
