Hello everyone, long time no see. I am selling a pair of Dual 2-ohm (technically D1.7) 12" Sundown X v.2's built by Dave Leib a.k.a "Strongman Designs." Reason I am selling them is because I realized upon testing to see if my digital multi-meter was working correctly that one of the coils is reading higher on the one sub indicating that too much heat had been applied to it recently so rather than risking any further damage to it I am going to assume that I have too much power for these. Having said this in all honesty, let me make it perfectly clear here that both subs are still in perfect working order as we speak, even the one that is reading differently. Had I not thrown my multi-meter on it to test it in order to see if it was working properly (the multi-meter itself) I would have never known there was any difference or discrepancy between the two. However, because one of them is reading off now and I do not know what is to be expected out of it's performance long-term I will be letting these go for $500+ shipping (that includes both). Any further questions or concerns please feel free to text me at 440-915-2309 Phil

Good evening everybody. I have a few items to install for an Audio System upgrade; but don't know how to go about it. The Items that will be involved are -1 Distribution Block -2 Amps. -1 Capacitor. -1 Equalizer/Crossover -6 Speakers in Total (2 tweeters, 2 Front Door 6.5's, and 2 6x9's) -1 Subwoofer I'm trying to connect 2 amps; 1 for the Subwoofer and the Second for Speakers. My Aftermarket Head Unit has 3 pairs of RCA plug-ins. 1) Subwoofer 2) Front 3) Rear. How Would I connect the 6 speakers (which I'm going to rewire) to the 1st amp? Do I wire the Speakers to the Amp or Straight to the Head unit itself? Also, how would I connect the amp to the Head unit if it only has the 3 RCA plug-ins as stated above? Any advice or suggestions are Welcomed. Thanks in advance. URL: https://able2know.org/topic/434961-1

I have just sold my car and I had to remove my subs and amps. not planning to install them again in my new truck. I have a sundown audio SAZ1500D & SAX100.4D. I also have two 12" SSD's with the upgraded coils. These are from an older install, but have not been beaten to death and are in great shape. i have no idea what these are worth figured it's a great first time setup for someone. I'm assuming around $500ish for all of it. Local pickup will be the easiest obviously Sarasota/Tampa/St. Pete/Bradenton/Venice. But Willing to ship if the price is right (I can get a quote). Willing to sell individually if you want. email me: sc1zzle@yahoo.com

Ok so new speakers are on their way soon so I am willing to let these go for $350 shipped in original packaging from Fi. They are dual 12'' SSD's with cooling just as the image says and are just over six months old. Again feel free to PM me with any additional questions or concerns. -
Dual 12'' Fi SSD's with standard copper coils and cooling
DedicatedEnthusiast posted a topic in For Sale/Wanted
Got two 12'' Fi SSD's for sale that are literally less than six months old. They sound absolutely amazing in fact my ears were ringing after having listened to them for ten to fifteen minutes straight or so just the other day. They come with stock copper coils (meant for daily musical play) and cooling option for an additional 2-500 watts or so of increased power handling (giving each speaker an average of 1200-1500 watts RMS power handling for a total combined amount of 2400-3000 watts power handling) depending upon the install. The price for the pair is $450 shipped to your door in all of Fi's original packaging. Shipping alone runs right around $80 for the pair even if new from Fi so the price per speaker outside of shipping cost is actually about $185. These things look and sound practically brand new. The ONLY reason I am selling them is because i ended up getting a much larger than anticipated alternator installed and would like to take advantage of its abilities with larger more powerful speakers soon. It may be sort of hard to see my SSA username at the top of my sales sheet in the pictures below due to the lighting when they were taken but if you tilt your computer screen back and away from you I find that it is much easier to see that way. Please feel free to PM me with any additional questions or concerns:) -
Hey guys, i had some concerns about my future system. I'm planning to get an FI SP4 18, AQ3500.1D, and a high output alternator 200@idle and 375 max in the very near future. I can't wait to get it, but now I've ran into another problem. My powerbass oem replacement components and coaxials just aren't going to cut it. I'm planning on running 3000rms to the sub. About how much power would i need in some new tweeters and components, etc., to even out the sound? I don't want to hear JUST bass, i would like some nice highs and mids to come close to match it. Any power, speaker, amp, etc., suggestions would be appreciated.

Sorry for a long explanation (shorter one below long one), but this is potentially a great find for me, and I could really use some advice... long version: Today while perusing the world of Craigslist, hoping to stumbleupon a rare gem, I found a used 2005 RE XXX 15" in what looks to be a pretty decent box. After communication with the seller, and getting more pictures, I notice that there is some sort of blemish on the surround. Turns out it is something he referred to as "goop" which he put on the surround after it was "rubbed by his dogs bone". At first i was skeptical of the story but i could see the bone in one of the CL pics and the sub is down firing. So its believable. Short Version: Surround on 2005 RE XXX 15 has been repaired from rubs, but not tears with "goop". Questions: Is this worth buying? I will be going tomorrow to look at it and hear it. What should i look for to tell if the surround is more damaged than I am told? And if the surround is damaged would it be worth buying it for the basket and motor and reconing? Pics: Ignore granite, this is the box (tuned to 30Hz) which has blue leds (dont care about) and the dog bone which i guess caused the damage. Rough spots on surround from "goop"

I need help deciding on what subs to WALL up in my 2 dr blazer?
Excursion posted a topic in Newbie Sign IN
I need some suggestions on what subs to wall up in my 2001 2dr S-10 Blazer. This will be my first real build the only thing I have had that was "loud" was 2 15" Kicker L7s dual 4 ohm wired down to 1 ohm by a 2000 watt hifonics brutus (The only competition I was ever apart of I got 3rd place with this system in 2008 at milan dragway in michigan at some street warriors 2000+ watts class I wasnt even going to enter. I got a trophy for it.) . This was 4 years ago. I have not since then had a system in my ride and have now FINALLY decided to get back into the car audio world and will be trying to go "Big" this time. I want to keep my back seats folded down and or maybe take them completley out so I have all the room behind my front seats to work with. I would like to make this an SPL ride with a some what decent sound quality being a daily driver. I do not know the exact dimensions behind the front seats but I will measure tommorow since I am serious about this build. I plan to take roughly a year to make this build happen, so I am willing to spend the money on it but im sure as most of you know saving money takes a little time. I have been constantly on the internet for about a month now every night trying to learn as much as possible from reading forums to watching videos on YouTube. I am just getting into forums on the internet, so i dont know a whole lot about them but they look like a great place to ask for opinions. I would like input from subs, amps, enclosure types, batteries, wires, head units, even down to what RCA cables are better than others. I dont want to make this a cheap build, but im not going to go out and buy the most expensive equptment available (even though I understand you get what you pay for.) I will be installing most if not all of this on my own or with some friends. I would like to make a wall of subs, but I am totally open to other ideas. I have been looking at FI audios 18s SP4s and 18s BTLs n2, DC audio XL 18s, DAD BD 15s, Obsidian Audio 15s, Sundown NSv3 15s. Those are just some subs I have looked at. Amps I have been looking at are Sundown NS-1, Audioque 3500s, Stetsom 7k, Rockford 2500bdcp. I am open to anything really but would like something that will set me apart from others, and make people WANT to listen to what I have and not say "oh look hes got this and that" and his buddy says, "yeah so does everyone else." or " yeah Ive heard that a million times." I know I am leaving out A LOT and I mean A LOT of other info but this is getting too long. Just ask me questions and you will get honest answers. And remember I am open to ALL opinions and ideas. I just need some ideas or opinions from everyone. I will take everything into consideration! Thanks to everyone! -

what amp would be the best deal for me?
atokad33 posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
i have two 10" pioneer TS-W251R subwoofers in a vented box in my car and right now this kid i know gave me a prehistoric amp for me to use while i look for a new one. (im not even going to say what the old one is... its a joke and doesnt nearly cut it, ill leave it at that) so right now im in the market for a good durable amp that is not going to cost me an arm and a leg cause lets face it, im on a tight budget. so what i do know is the standard stats for my subs they have a norm of 120w and a 600w peak output and they are 4 ohms. what should i be looking at? would something like the Kicker 11DX250.1 be an appropriate option? or should i be looking at a two channel amp instead of that one which is a mono. im not set on any particular brand... just not something thats going to burn a hole in my wallet. thanks for the help! -atokad33- 8 replies
