tonight I was able to deaden 3layers on my rear deck and 2 layers on the rear seat (where the seat sites) and 2 layers in the trunk itself. now my question is since i am nearly 100% sure i only have enough deadener to completely deaden one thing, which thing should i deaden first? either the back doors and the trunk lid or the roof? which would be of more benefit and why? see i want to get 1 good layer of deadener on the roof and then a second layer if i have enough left over BUT if i do the back doors 3lay thick or 2layers and the trunk lid i know i will not have enough left to do the room my car is a 95 grand am the sub and port is firing forward into the cabin and th…

So I have very limited knowledge on deadening. I am leasing my 2011 civic the road noise is pretty significant. I want a little more midbass from my doors and don't want to do a lot considering its a lease. Should I just do the door skins and not cover all the big holes incase I need to replace say a power window motor under warranty or something. I'm not wanting to deaden the entire car just front doors and maybe the trunk. I was also looking at dynamat extreme on ebay for what seems a good price. 18x32 roll for $25 you tell me if that's a deal or not. thanks

Okay so for those of you who don't know what vehicle I have, It's a 1997 2door jeep wrangler hardtop. The hardtop is made of polycarbonate, plastic, something you get the idea. So it flexes a good bit and wanted to hear what you guys would suggest for fixing it. Would cld tiles soak up some of the flex? just trying to brace the plastic so my sound output isn't wasted Heres some pics:

Hey guys, I'm in the process of deadening my trunk and I have a question. I have (2) vents in both rear quarter panels just below the floor line of my trunk. I plan on applying deadener all around those vents, but should I apply it OVER the vents as well? I know these things are designed to relieve cabin pressure or whatever, but what should I do with them? Here is a pic:

All, I have posted about every aspect of my install except for this one. I have a 2008 Cobalt LS Coupe and have very recently, 1 Hour ago, bought a new set of speakers for the doors. I have never deadened a door before an am looking for information as to where the best locations for each type of deadener would be and if your regular "sound mat" would be good enough. The picture below shows what my door looks like with the interior panel taken off. Any help would be much appreciated!

After that I notice the install Aaron did in the SSA Mazda I want something like that I want it to block of road noise and make the car drive like a luxury car. So can anyone guide me in the right direction that i need to make my car quieter?

So after installing my Cs60CF, I could not believe how bad the woofers sound It sounds as if they were distorting, and thats with all EQs off, no bass boost or anything. So I talked to denim and we concluded it could be the doors. They are not deadened. I just replaced factory speakers and place the new ones (i know, i know, but i didnt think it was gonna sound this bad). So I came to the conclusion that to enjoy my midbass and not have to lower the 125hz band to -3, I need to (just learned this) seal the doors. Seriously, my midbass is dead cause I cant rise the volume or else the woofers will start to sound nasty, kinda distorted. Even with EQ on flat. I always have to …

Sup, My sunroof is clapping pretty bad with my current setup and I'm planning on doubling it, so I wanted to know if anyone has been relatively successful controlling sunroof clap. I only have problems when giving demos and competing, since I don't bump it (full tilt) on the daily. I use my sunroof, so I have no plans to glue it shut or permantly disable it.

I recently primered my chevy nova's hatchback trunk lid with one coat of primer just so it wouldnt have a yellow trunk and primered body. I was wondering how would I prep the underside of the lid with acetone if it removes paint/primer? I hope this isnt a stupid question haha i just couldnt find the answer anywhere else.

This is a dumb question I'm sure. I've searched here and on the web and still haven't found an answer. Even looked at the Mazda install pics. I'm happy to have a big box here in front of me from a Mr Don. I've seen pics of the cod tiles installed on the outer door skin and other pics of it on the inner. By inner I am refering to where the door panel mounts. Which is correct? My goal is to block road noise and help improve the sound quality of my mids. I do have MLV to mount on as well. And I didi figure out where that goes lol. Thanks!

Has anybody tried putting anytype of liquid deadener on the inside of their plastic door panels? Ive been looking at edead v5 ctherm and second skin spectrum/sludge and was wondering if anybody had any good results without having to put any type of sound deadening tiles before hand.

Hey all, i just bought a shop pack of damplifier pro 80ft, hoping it will be well worth it since it cost me around 540$ for the pack (shipping/us-cad). I just wanted to know if i should deaden the whole car which would require prob another 80ft and im also thinking of ordering a pack of mlv/ccf. I will be running around 1200rms, and the car is a lexus so it is pretty quiet from start. What do u guys think? Im thinkin if i need another 80ft will jus go with regular damplifer instead of the pro to save some $. Also, getting it installed is another huge cost. Theres this shop that i know do an amazing job 100% of the time but they are charging around 1000$. Another shop whi…
