I am working with limited space, so I am trying to get the most bang for my buck. I am considering running 3 10" HDC3's at 1.3 ohm, on approx. 1.5k to 2k per sub. I worked this design up on the RE box calculator. Would this be a good enclosure for these subs? This is basically my max dimensions for the enclosure.

  4. I am wondering about the soundqubed 4 channel amp and their component sets. Anyone have any experience with them? I am considering buying the amp and 2 sets of components for my 2004 2 door s10 blazer... anyone heard them that can vouch for their power?

Hi all, just putting together my first setup to go into a 2007 VW R32. Just ordered a Q1-1200D amp to go with a second hand JL 10W7. I've just finished the box for the sub and i've already got some 14ga OFC speaker wire. Do you think this will be ok or do I need 12ga as recommended by SQ? Sub is rated at 750W RMS. Cheers

I don't have to tools required to build a box. I'm looking around on eBay for a decent box for the HDS310 and the best thing I can really find is this... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390824040731&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123 I messaged the seller, he said it's tuned @ 36hz. It's stated it's 1.5cf and made with 3/4 MDF. On the "Box Sizes and Tuning" page, it states 1.25cf or 1.5 for the 10. Would this box be fine? I'm not sure on the port length/width.

So I just made my purchase for a HDS212 and Q1-750. Wanted to get some input on how to properly tune it. I don't have any meters, dd1s, anything like that, but I may be able to borrow one. But anyways, what is the process of tuning the Q1-750? Also, this will be my first system with a bass knob, so I'd appreciate help on tuning with that. Thanks ahead of time

Currentlt own a HDS212 with a 750.1. I plan on getting a HDS3 very soon with a 1200.2. Now the problem is idk if u should get another 12 or try a 15. My theory, louder (which I want),capable of hitting more notes, like higher and lower hz's with a 15 compared to my current 12. But I'm trying to plan ahead for future build in my next car (which I hope it'll be an Acura RSX). So I'd like to consider how the HDS312 or 15 will sound in a hatch with good box made for the sub. Any opinions or questions needed answered to help me figure out what I exactly want. Thanks ahead of time!

So I am thinking about purchasing the super tweets and pro 6.5's but am wondering what people are using for crossovers with these? Do you have anything that can be purchased from you to use for this? Not sure I want to go the active crossover route.

Hi there, Was just looking for some info./recommendation. Will the HDS300 series 15 (dual 2 ohm coil) work well in a 4 cubic foot ported enclosure tuned to 33 hz. It has 66 square inches of port surface area. And will be getting 850 watts of power from a PPI sedona 850 amp.

What's the rumor on the HDCX I keep hearing about? Wouldn't mind some info and release date as I'm window shopping now for some 8's most likely for my best scenario within my application. SQ is about an hour drive for me so it would be cool to go swing by to pick some up if I decide that route!

To make a long story short, the current HDC 12s that soundqubed is making have the hds300 basket. I bought one new and it did not come with the pictured basket on the website. Not all the way sure how I feel about it yet.

So I have had this amp for a year and today it just stopped working. I used to have two 2 ohm subs going into it. I thought internally the amp would halve the ohm load. Somebody told me sq amps dont do that. So I tried giving it a 1 ohm load and didn't really see a difference. I then cleaned up some wiring and when I went to play it again there was no sound. The green power led comes on and I have checked all the fuses and connections. I can't figure out why it won't work. The only thing I can think of is that maybe my rcas are bad. But they were just working. They are nvx rcas and have been pretty good up until now. Or maybe it's not the rcas I don really know.

  24. I REALLY want to try some of the subs, but can't fit the mounting depth of any of them in my crew cab f250... I refuse to go the flat, shallow sub route. Any chance that you guys will be making a sub that's more in the 5" depth range? Pretty please??

Ok, I recently made the jump to buy some new gear to replace my old dual 15" old school Kicker Infuse subs. Mainly due to I needed my trunk back as the box took up the ENTIRE trunk of my 2008 Focus SE. I went ahead trying to budget and got a good deal on a Power Acoustik RZ1-1500D. Its stable at 900RMS at 2ohm which the single sub will be wired up as. Now, I know it states 600 RMS & 1200 watt burst for the HDS woofer. My main concern is, do I run a large risk of blowing the speaker using this amp? The box it will be going in is a single 12" ported enclosure: Belva Sub Box 1SV12G (Gray) with a air volume of 1.8 Cubic Ft. tuned to 36hz. Mainly due to cost, size, an…
