Watsup fellas, so I got a new Sundown SA12D4 after I blew my other one and I got some questions in regards to setting gains to prevent this from happening again. So my setup consist of a single sundown SA12d4 in a ported box 1.75 cubes tuned at 35hz, wired at 2ohm to an Alpine MRX-M110 (rated 1100rms @ 2ohms), and Kinetic HC2000 w/ knuconceptz 4g kit. So i set my gains with a DMM using the equation squareroot(rms×ohm impedance). Since my amp is more powerful I downgained and used the rms rating for the sub instead of the amp in the equation which gave me squareroot(600×2ohm)=34.64voltage. Recently came back into stock but sold out again -- we have more coming with the SA-15 shipment due December 12th to 15th. These will have the new spider pack and significantly thicker tinsel lead wires to address the only somewhat common failure on the 8s -- burnt / broken tinsel leads.

i got everything hooked up yesterday. 2 strapped 1500s on 2 bl loaded 18's. Camera is charging, will post pics later and maybe a couple videos. I liked how the 1 1500d made my bl 12 sound, but it sounds awesome with 2 strapped. May change to 2 3000d's later,

I need some help designing the best box possible for daily. I want the box to be tuned about 33. And this is the space I have to work with - Width - 38, Height 13, Depth 36. I sill did not order the sub yet as I still am not sure on what sub to get. My plans are a 15" nightshade, a sundown 2500d (already own), dc alternator all going in a 2003 Mercury Sable. Any comments or suggestions on my future build would be appreciated. Thanks

ok heres my question (sorry if i seem like an idiot lol), I own a saz-1500d, and im planning on going with a single AQ HDC3 15" but what has had me stumped is if to buy a dual 1 ohm and wire the sub in series and then bridge it to the amp, or would it be a dual 2 ohm wired in parallel and connected to one of the inputs and not bridged, because what im trying to achieve is to have the amp play at 1 ohm at 1500 rms. the reason why i ask is because on the forum here i saw a a post that says the amp is not bridgeable, because it is a 1 ohm mono, but then on the manual the diagram appears as if it is bridgeable if going with a single sub setup, im obviously reading one of th…

If I wired 2 channels at 4 ohms and did not bridge the amp, would that cause any issues? Also should it still produce 100 watts RMS? J

Ok just got my second 1500 today with sticker's for the car.my wife brought home a dell computer for my $300 2 mic term-lab . it is up and running But it is raining out so no test's just yet and I still need to hook up second 1500. i have my second 9500 D motor coming wensday . and I have a couple crx's in my sight's. i have 4 run's of 0 gauge and a nsb-90 to start with. still need the part's for second 9510 oh and crx last thing will be 6" aero port's. anyway's first show is the 28th need to do some testing by then and mess with a few box's but not sure how much I'm going to do with the eclipse for the first show. might just add second 1500 and go with it until the…

Well guys i decided since im making some money, which is pretty good for 16, im planning my electrical now so i'm prepared in a few weeks. Right now i currently have a sae-1000D and 100.4 bridged on a 3 way set of CDT HD's and a Fi Q. However, 2 weeks ago i purchased another Sae-1000D Proto #2 i believe since i got #1, and i plan on buying a 100.2 in a week or two to go active 3 way on the CDT's. However situation is that im not sure how my electrical will hold up. I have it powering 2 speakers in 2 channel mode bridged. One speaker is on channel 1 (Positive) channel 2 (negative) One speaker is on channel 3 (Positive) channel 4 (negative) RCAs: One line to channel 1+3 (using Y-splitter) One line to channel 2+4 (using Y-splitter) It seems to be working fine, but I am unsure about RCA connection, Did I connect it right? From what I've read, if in bridged mode, then all RCAs need to be filled via Y-Splitters. If I have it hooked up as 1+2 and 3+4, then only 3+4 will play (this is coming from the MIDS input of the HU as I am using the 4 channel to power my mids in bridged mode)

so i got this 1500d and i have someone who wants to buy it this weekend, what im trying to decide is will the 3000d at 1 ohm be better on my electrical system than 2 1500s strapped @ 2 ohms. its either sell this 1500 and get a 3000, or get another 1500 and strap. if anyone has ran both and could let me know their opinions i'd appreciate it.

Hey guys! Well I finally got the amp from Mark today. Just thought I would take a bunch of pics and share them to everybody! The amp looks so sweet! I love it already even though it's not hooked up yet Some of the pictures came out a little blurry because I didn't use flash for most of them but its ok. Can't wait to get this baby hooked up!

I noticed that the newest RD Audio class D internals are pretty well identical to Sundown stuff... what's the deal? First they were like atomic, and now Sundown? There seems to be a lot of this going on with amplifiers lately... What's your take on this Jacob?

got a couple NSv2 15" d1's, built the box and would like some input on amp selection (Sundown as im a new dealer). We running Street Beat 4 (unlimited alt, bat, amp... across the board). Box is 3ft^3 per sub and tuned to about 55hz, (subs and amp on same plane) bed cut into a single cab silverado. My question is i guess is what can i put to these things (within reason), money not being an option, 2500 per coil?? 4500 on each one??? if we use 45's should we dual alt? goal is 156db, which sould be easily obtainable, imo might get close to 160 with the luck we've had lately (outlaw rules, i can post legal #'s too)

i was wondering if u could help me. im changing cars and want to put a smaller box in it. right now i have 2 15 btls in a 8.5 cft box. i want to get the sa8's , 4 of em, would i be loosing a crap load of sound. i realize that they are 8s but will i hate myself for changing. im getting a magnum and im using a saz2000. they will be vented.

Hey guys i am going to make a template for my sub box so i can pre drill some holes on the mounting board of my box so that way i can just toss the sub in and then use the t-nuts and screw it in. I want to pre-drill due to the style of my box and it will be very tricky to drill with the sub being there. please take note of how the subs will mount and they will be mounted inverted. at any rate i am going to make a cutout out of some steel that way i can position everything before i get the subs back from re-cone and just drop them in and away i go. im sure its been asked before but im about to strap my amps today... so do the gains need to matched or does the master control gains for both amps?

Okay so im going to buy a whole new system in a year or so but for the mean while i have 2 kicker CVT, a boss amplifier 1600 watts peak, a optima yellow top battery this is all in a 4 door F-150 2007 under the back seat except the batter, and i fell like its not loud, is there any way to improve, it i have the factory radio i dont know if that plays a factor i dont think so but if any body knows how to improve it please help me maby theres a way to port the box or something

im goin back and forth between the 2. i think it would be badass to see peoples reactions off the fact that its 8's hittin that hard, but at the same time im really lookin for hard hittin mid and especially low bass wich is what makes me lean towards the 15's. so yalls input would be greatly appreciated.
