The-Scraper and I have been testing our azzes off this week. We got our hands on a Sundown SAZ3000D and tested it on the same setup as the Stetsom and Cyclops. This was not a power test or comparative test, but just to see how well it would do for a 3000watt amp. 3 x battcap 8400, 4 x dd9910's, 1 x sundown SAZ3000D @0.25ohm Results: db = 154.7; voltage drop 11.8. 1 x battcap 8400, 4 x dd9910's, 1 x sundown SAZ 3000D 0.25ohm results: db = 154.1; voltage drop 10.8 As far as 3000 watt amps goes I think it did very well. I was wondering if going from a Us xt2000 to the sundown 1200 would be worth the change. I found a sundown 1200 but would it be a big difference from the Us I already have installed. I want to upgrade to the Sundown 1500 but I am gonna hold off little longer on that. My sub is a Loaded Fi BL 15 in 4 cuft ported box tuned to 32hz. Thanks Mitchell Fuller

I have had 2 songs make my amp go into protect mode. The amp is cool, Subs are cool, so its not thermal, Not a speaker short, so last would be over current. So would over current mean that the gain is to high for that song, its a high note that makes it do it. So the voltage is spiking to high for the amp? its a saz 2k. I just have to turn deck off, turn back on, and all good again. Does it at high volume/full tilt but only on a couple songs

I might be able to get a hold of a preproduction prototype model 100.4. What are the differences between the two? TIA.

Up for grabs is a pair of 10" Sundown SD-1 subwoofers. I used these briefly for testing purposes, they will come with full warranty as they are very close to new. They do have speaker wire soldered to the terminals, though, pretend it's "direct connect" like DD Price is $125 shipped for the pair in the continental USA. These are GREAT with an SAX-100.2 to power them. I am running a pair of 10" SD-1s in my 2002 Civic if that tells you what I think about them

Well, after a couple of weeks of installing 4 of the new Nightshade 15 V.2's I've finally caused a little damage to my truck. Demoing last night on music my windshield came loose at the top of the cab. Everyone was saying my moulding was flopping around and when I poked my head out the side the window, they were right, I was losing air big time from the separation. The bad thing is today is the show and last night I was only at at half knob on the LC-1, I burp at full input signal on the LC-1. Needless to say, gotta go silicone and duct tape the windshield down this morning and since I have to replace it anyway, my goal is to break it on out today during my street beat ru…

question 1: can this sub (12" version) take a 3000d at .5 ohm for burps? question 2: is a nsb90, powermaster d3100, and a 200amp irragi alt enough to burp the 3000d at .5 ohm?...agian, burps only...for daily driving i will wire it up to 2 ohms, but its gonna be at .5ohm for burps... thanks!

so ill give you some info first truck - 99 s10 ext cab (no 3rd dr) 2 15" sundown nightshades 1 saz-3500D blah blah blah anyways, the box i orig. built for them isnt cutting it, so now im thinking 3/4 wall (i still want to be able to see out my rear view mirror) so can anyone help me with a desgin? im looking to tune to 35 hz, subs forward port... not sure where to fire it 43" long, 15" or less deep, 26-28 inches tall, 26 would be more ideal. this is for daily! not spl, i want it to slam the low notes, but sound good on every thing else. let me know what you guys think. thanks!

Hello .. I have a saz 3500d but I have some problems with it! Protection light is on all the time even though I have no bass coupled .. I own an Atomic AT 1600.1D and recently purchased a Sundown SAZ 1500D because I am converting once the Sundown 50.4 comes out. I tested it out today in my truck and here's my opinion. Both amps are very very well built. There was noo difference in bass and performance. Both amps never get hot. They both performed surperbly on my 3 10's. The major difference and Chris from DB R told me this was the heatsink design. The Sundown was much heavier. The Sundown is built like a tank I mean that "mother" is one solid amp. The external appearance for both looks about the same the Sundown in my opinon looks a little better. I think the major difference though will be in c…

What kinda numbers do you think I can achieve with this setup? Car is an 06 Scion xB, currently I have stock battery up front, and a Kinetic 800 in back. Big 3 is done and dynamat everywhere so far but roof. Only cause I ran out of money. Box is 1.44 tuned to 38 hz sub up port to passenger side. Port is a single 4" aeroport. I made box so there is roughly 8 and a half inches to side of truck. 3/4" mdf except top plate top plate is two layers of 3/4. Box has lots of bracing. hey jacob ive asked for the sx recone b4, but since i dont know the measurements do you maybe know if your recones would fit a MT? i think the coils are the same ontop is the sx12 bottom is mt18

Anyone know what the average turn around time is for a recone?

I missed the presale because I didn't know what I was gonna need (want). Now I'm thinking I want to go active and I need a 50 watt amp with a good crossover built in for tweeters (or maybe just bridge a 50x4 for the mid-bass). But I'm looking around and can't find the sax 50.4 anywhere... Anyone know who is carrying this model? It's not that there aren't other ways to get around this problem...a 125.2 for midbass...a 1000D or 1200D for subs....but I'm trying too look at all of my options (and put the least strain on my wallet / stock electrical).
