Sundown Audio

Ok, I'm going to try to make this as easy to understand haha. It's for a 100.2 btw. I went to mock up my amps in my trunk, and in order to retain access to my spare tire, I'm mounting my amps in a certain way. In order to mount it the way I want, I think I need to unbolt the exterior casing, and turn it 180*. Basically my OCD is kicking in, and I want the "sundown" facing in the direction my other amp is facing. I know I can probably unbolt the strip that says sundown, but can I actually rotate the casing like I said? Basically, the 100.2 sticker lies over the power, but can I turn the casing so the sticker lies over the rca inputs? If not, maybe Jacob could hook me up wi…

Can a SAX100.4 handle an 8v input. The deck I plan on using is an Eclipse CD5000. I just want to make sure so I don't burn the inputs on the amp.

alright im putting a new system in my 2004 pontiac grand prix here are the products Pioneer AVIC - Z2 2 Concept 9.2" headrest monitors 2 Sundown 3000Ds Two FI BTL 12"s fully loaded Now here is the question i have a sound stream BX-12 sound proccessor with 13.5 volt sub outs and also a Fusion EQ/CROSSOVER/LINE DRIVER with 8 volt sub outs. Now I should i include either one in the setup or im also looking in to getting the AudioControl DQS with the digital Control PAD. RCA's are high quality Kicker shielded cabling. so after playing it for 15 mins it makes a high pitch noise and then shuts off noise is not coming from subs you can turn volume down to zero and still hear it . have good eletrical to it 13.8 volts big three done with second batery ohm level is 1.3 checked grounds and removed subs from box all connections good only had it in car for a month now, i put my old amp in and works fine

hello Jacob, I my nightshades blew on me. I was pushing them with an IA 40.1 @ 1 ohm no bass boost and gain set properly, however, I don't want to change my amp so I want to upgrade these to handle the power. I need to know how much it will be to have these two reconed with more spiders and longer coils. They are dual 1 ohm 15's. Please let me know because I want to get this done asap have the money on hand and getting ready for a local comp. Thanks.

Ok, I am the final stages of planning my system. Car is a 1997 Nissan Maxima. Musical preference is Rock and Roll( AcDc, Pink Floyd, Rush and pretty much all heavy metal). Amps are going to be all Sundown. I have 4 E8's on order for the midbass powered by a SAX-1004.D, 2 in front doors, 2 in rear deck. Front Stage (in addition to E8 midbass) will be Mach 5 MLi-65's and Seas 27TFFNC/G Tweeters active powered by a SAX-100.4D. My question comes down to the substage. I had originally planned 2 FI Q15's sealed on a SAZ-3000D. Only reason for that is I've always had sealed enclosures, I've never tried a ported. I understand that the 100.4 is 4 ohm stable when bridging. My question is, say I were to bridge the amplifier at 2 ohm putting out the same power as if it were at 4 ohm. So 320 x 2 at 2 ohm instead of 320 x 2 at 4 ohm. Would this still be unstable? The speakers are rated at 320 watts rms as well. The reason I am asking is I can get the same speaker in a 2 ohm version at half the price of the 4 ohm version. Thanks guys!

alright, can i set my remote gain to where full remote gain is peak for me. by setting the amp gain low, and having the remote gain hi will that mess the amp up or send a clipped signel i know with the hifonics you can not use the remote gain as a volume knob for the amp, but the hifonics remote gain for the goliath is a input adjuster, so it raises and lower the input signel, i wanna make sure my sundown can dothe job or not also jacob i got no sundown swag with my amp.... can i get a sticker or somthing:D and a flyer,

I should be able to wire up my 100.2 to the RL-i8 DVC 4 in the next few days, and I just wanted to make sure I understand all of my options. When I was talking to denim about the 100.2, I think he mentioned that I could bridge it and then wire the RL-i8 in series at 8 ohm. He says the 100.2 pushes out more than it's rated for (500W bridged?). Even at 8 ohms, 250W should be enough to drive the sub for daily SQ use. Unless I'm mistaken, shouldn't I also be able to wire it in parallel at 2 ohms for the full 400-500W? I would just as soon leave it in series and let the amp run cooler, providing it can push the sub adequately, but I wouldn't mind trying the higher output j…

Jacob, I wanted to commend you on an outstanding product, I recently purchased a sundown 1500d from low-hz.com ... and the amp is absolutely beastly , I had been reading reviews on it for some time now and its everything everyone said it was. keep up the good work Sundown Crew

Would running the SAX amps at 2 Ohms potentially hurt the amps in the long run like other amps? Im looking to run a sundown to a set of Infinity 680.7cs speakers. Anyone every use these amps as well?

All of the rest of the crew will be at work until Tuesday evening; when a few of the other guys will join me from then for the rest of the week. They will be back on the 12th. at a local show. pretty good number with 4 1500's on 6 IA DR 12's. would of done a better number if i didn't start later in the song like i did. the end had a pause in it for about a sec and it wasnt a consistant note which dropped it more.

I was wondering if going from a Us xt2000 to the sundown 1200 would be worth the change. I found a sundown 1200 but would it be a big difference from the Us I already have installed. I want to upgrade to the Sundown 1500 but I am gonna hold off little longer on that. My sub is a Loaded Fi BL 15 in 4 cuft ported box tuned to 32hz. Thanks Mitchell Fuller
