  1. Will be starting build soon! Getting 2 ma audio hk12x2's rebuilt by PSI into 18s and the will handle 2000 watts each. Currently only have audiopipe 1500.1d but looking for either a sundown 3500 or audioque 3500. I think that's what they are. But something that will put out at least 4000 watts. Whatcha think?

  3. Howdy all, I finally took the time to order all the parts for Zaph Audio's Bargain Mini Build. I will be constructing the crossovers and the boxes and throwing it all together. I will say first that my build will probably not be the prettiest ever. I actually only get time to work on this when I travel back to my hometown for a weekend. However, I am just trying to get some nice sounding speakers together and hopefully this will be my gateway to bigger and better builds. First off are the components Next is the crossover mock up. I did this to get the correct sizing for the crossover so it will fit in the relatively small box. I was very surprised about the size and hef…

Next the back seats come out and the subs go in. Any one got any ideas on how I can mount my JBL 61/2 component's in the doors without them free airing and not hacking the shit out of the doors? here right some pictures of my truck and gear

I got a 2007 tbss with the bose nav. Im looking to add some quality stuff instead of what I have now. I currently have an audiophipe 1500 a power acoustic 12 in a 2cubic feet box tuned to 32 hrtz and a c2i to drive it. I put a list of things together of some stuff and want to know what you guys think. Crescendo Audio BC2000D, ZCON 12, XS Power D3400 12V AGM Battery with the BIG 3. I want to keep the factory nav so what else would i need to get the most out of this setup? Also with my current setup i used the smd dd-1. After it is set distortion free I cant add not one notch of bass on the head unit. It just sound like it should be louder because a friend of mine have the…

Its a little early as I have not even purchased the subwoofers yet but I'm excited! So here is the plan. Ill be running my 2004 Impala in the street trunk class so I'm limited to 4000 watts. I'll be running two 15" Icons with a nice big aeroport. Still trying to figure out amplifier situation but the Crescendo 3500d seems like a good choice. Full 0 gauge with a group 31 in the trunk. Hoping to do a lot of testing, and have a lot of fun. Representing SSA in the Great White North.

Greetings from Venezuela. This is my first topic in the forum and it's my first serious work on my car. so I would love for their opinions and to clarify my doubts. I have a pair of DD subwoofer amplified ap1500.1 1512th and the great problem I have with the box because I get 4 cubic feet net excluding subwoofer or the port, including low I get 3 cubic feet net internal excluding Port and I believe that less than 1.75 feet low with 1500 rms not going to pay anything.

It's not actually a build log since it took place fast and I barely had time to sleep, let alone post. So I'm posting up the pictures Equipment list: Custom car-puter, with 8" touchscreen, 8 channels of processing, lots of bells and whistles Peerless SLS 8's A few 3" full-ranges to chose from: TB W3, Fountek FR88, Fountek FR89 and some Faitals Seas H1396 tweeters Nakamichi amps: two 4x100w and one 1200w mono Subwoofer will be a BTL 15, as soon as the recone gets here. The install is for a friend, we both worked on it for 7 days, getting ~12 hrs of work / day and it should have happened 2 years ago. Other things got in the way and we only managed to do it this summer.

  18. Just start off by saying this will be a very slooooooow build. The car is stripped down to bare metal and will take a while to get back together. Plus the fact that I don't have a garage I may have to put the car in storage for part of fall/winter. The goal is to either use some of the equipment in my xb in this car, all of it, or buy more. For this season I am concentrating on the xb and will hopefully have the honda up by march. I have high hopes for this car, looking for 160+ sealed on the dash. Hopefully I can reach this goal. And if not it'll at least be funny to watch me drive the car into the lane. Looking to go with a flat black paint job atm, but how knows tha…

Howdy, y'all. I purchased a 2008 Ford Edge last month and had equipment picked out for it before I even bought it. I've done a few builds in the past including a few enclosures for friends and I'll be heading off to college this fall and this will definitely be an ongoing build log, but I hope to have the sub in by the start of school. I've recently been picture happy... Anyway, onwards! The plans: Audio: Head Unit: Pioneer AVH-P2400BT Speakers are staying stock... for now. Amp: Cadence ZRS-7500D @ 2 ohms Sub: SSA Icon 15 Electrical: I'll be needing a second battery or new alternator. I'm thinking an XS D3400 as a secondary. For now, TBD. Other: Light…

  23. I just finished up with my install: 2) 12" D2 GCONS in a DC-Creations Sealed Enclosure, all installed in a 2012 Volkswagen GLI running from the factory fender audio system to a LC2i LOC and Kicker ZX1000.1 Amp w/ KnuKonceptz Kolossus Flex 0 ga kit. GCONS: Visually: I placed my order and received the speakers about 25-30 days later, just like the guys @ SSA said. Between the heavy foam surround, to the huge magnet, to the frame, they look SICK. Looks wise, I can't complain, the build quality seems to be great; real heavy duty shit here. When I bought my kicker amp from the car audio shop around the block, the guy I dealt with asked what I was running for subs. So I show…

I figured it was time to start a build log as I'm hoping this setup will stay in my car for a bit. Over the past year I have changed setups more times than I can count. I have yet to be completely happy with my system as a whole, so I sold everything aside from my Pioneer 880, and decided to start from scratch. My main goal is to have a system that sounds good to me with the ability to get fairly loud for when I'm in the mood. This will most likely take at least a month to complete as I still need to decide what subs to go with, then add build time. I should have some pics of the gear, and progress pics up by tomorrow. So far I have purchased the following: Head unit: Pio…

  25. I'm in the process of completely changing the crx's build so I decided to start a new build log. The old one can be found here: http://www.soundsolu...1-honda-crx-si/ The last thing I did in the build was add the new second amp rack with the LEDs under both amps (which I have yet to get a decent photo of, Sefugi). From there I was just so used to everything and was starting to compete in some comps and with a local in town. First thing that needed to be done was a new front stage, again. Pre ordered the Sundown Audio Neo Pro 6.5" mids with some infinity tweets. Found a great deal on an Alpine 9887 and grabbed that up quick. Before: After: Before: After:
