I have a zapco 9.0xd, 2200@ 4 ohms and I have a saz3500, 3500@1 ohm. Which would be the better choice for a pair of xcon 12's for the best sq? Car is an Audi A6. I like the idea of running them at 4ohms and it would be easier om the electrical but is 1100 each enough?

So in the mail, I gots a package... I went over to mom's to get it since I don't trust my neighbors... lol. Long story short... I stalked the UPS page since I was given my tracking number last night by Mark... I called out of work to enjoy a long riding day and wasted alot of gas.. Not only is the Icon a beast, I have to back down on the output so that I can hear my interiors properly.. I had a SHYT-ton of pictures and videos but my stupid Android ROM gheyed on me and didn't save anything from today at all... So I pulled out the Cannon from the attic and will have some tomorrow. The sub not only gets low, but it can keep up with all the notes.. I tried some killer rock, …

I recently read a review for the AA SMD 18 and they identified the sub as a SQ sub. With that being said below are the results of the testing.. Score Chart Musical score: 7 of 10 Overall Sound Quality: 8 of 10 Tonal Balance: 7 of 10 Low Frequency Extension: 7.5 of 10 Clarity at Low Volume: 6.5 of 10 Clarity at High Volume: 8.5 of 10 Impact: 9 of 10 when testing they said the sub did not perform well (in terms of sound quality) at low volume. How does the Xcon 18 sound at low and high volume?

What is the smallest ported enclosure you could play the Xcon 18 in at 2500 watts while maintaining optimal performance?

My next system is going to be a single 18 setup on 3000watts. So far the plan was to go with the Fi BTL, but the more I read about the Xcon, the more I want one. The only problem I have is that I am worried that it couldn't take 3000 daily. I would be easy on the gain, I just don't want to fry such a beautiful piece of equipment. EDIT: (Spelling)

My girl has an ICON on 1k in 2.5 cubes tuned to 32hz, i'm meeting full excursion on the subwoofer with our listening habits. I'm looking to upgrade to an XCON so it can handle the abuse better and so we can have possible upgrade(s) in near future. What are the Pros and Cons of upgrading? How does the XCON handle 1k? Looking for short and sweet answers Thanks guys! Dom.

Lookin for a low powered, low budget setup for HT usage. So, i came and looked at the Dcons, they look like what i want. I was thinkin about gettin a couple of these Dcon 12s and runnin a small powered amp to them tuned around 17hz. 9cuft NET was the ideal range i was thinking. You got any recommendations on if I should go larger if i can or what? What would you think about port area? Even though I will be using less than 500w for a pair, the xtreme low tuning may still require large port area? Yes\no? I can use up to 100sqin if necessary but that sounds too large, in my opinion.

Clay from TeamSSA just brought his friend down, and we did a direct swap out from some JLW3's in his sealed box. He plans on upgrading to a SAZ-2500 when they come into stock. Hey fellas... I recently, I believe 2 days ago, wrote a review for the 12" Icon in the SSA store. I haven't seen it up on the site yet. It's just kind of embarrassing man.. Did my review get rejected or do you have like a week before processing/posting??? Just wondering since I have yet to see any owners review this woofer... Thanks -Danny

Man I had to list this on here for people. Killer deal here! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110617679132&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT How much power do these need to get moving? Also does anybody know how they perform compared to an ICON series sub? Thanks.

so, i have 2 12" Kicker L7's that i got for a deal. i was going to pair them with a sundown 2500.1. @ 2ohms, they would each see 600rms. (they r 750 rms. so close enough). questions is, if i were to get a single 18" XCON and put it with a sundown 1500.1, so it would be getting 1500rms... would it be louder than the 2 L7's? i know there is no way of saying for sure. but assuming they are both in the optimal enclosures, which would be louder (in you guy's opinions) the Black Friday sale has me thinkin that i might wanna go this route. it/they will be going in my 1994 Toyota Camry wagon so plenty of space. rapid responses would be great as i would have to sell these, and d…

how much would it be to put a new dust cap or cone( or whatever the correct term is) on a 15" ICON? It is brand new only played music for maybe 30 minutes im guessing and then a friend put a beer on my sub without me knowing and it hit and now has a huge crack in it. sucks to not have it in after all the waiting ive already done.

So its time to finally do this review. First things first Mark and Aaron are great guys who run an honest business and sell amazing products. As of now they have been in my car play music for a year and half. They are still in perfect working order and the spiders and surround remain firm. Coil has no signs of wear and there is no mechanical noise what so ever. These play music for me daily and i mean every day and they get a good bit of abuse on the weekends ejecting people from my car. I can honestly go to say they can play anything and everything with extreme precision and authority. I cant speak enough good things about them nor can anyone who gets to hear them. I hav…

I will be making a order in the near future and trying to figure which is my best bet. This will be for 2 12in ICONS in a 3-3.5cu sealed setup. I will go copper coil but also wondering should I get the dual 1ohm or dual 2ohm. Also is a SAZ-1000 enough or should I go SAZ-1500. I would like to stay with one amp to power both subs. Thanks
