I keep reading tid bits of a SSA +1750wrms subwoofer in the works....

There will be a short bit of having the ICON out of stock as we prepare for the release of the new ICON. Totally rebuilt and re-engineered from the ground up! Complete with custom cooling, new coils, better power handling. That's all we are saying at this point about it, but this will be one hell of a driver when it's complete. Hey fellas... I recently, I believe 2 days ago, wrote a review for the 12" Icon in the SSA store. I haven't seen it up on the site yet. It's just kind of embarrassing man.. i will be ordering a 12" ICON soon. what is a good amp to push it? i want to go one channel because i will have another amp pushing everything else. what is a good choice w/ a good price? im not trying to break the bank.

so, i have 2 12" Kicker L7's that i got for a deal. i was going to pair them with a sundown 2500.1. @ 2ohms, they would each see 600rms. (they r 750 rms. so close enough). questions is, if i were to get a single 18" XCON and put it with a sundown 1500.1, so it would be getting 1500rms... would it be louder than the 2 L7's? i know there is no way of saying for sure. but assuming they are both in the optimal enclosures, which would be louder (in you guy's opinions) the Black Friday sale has me thinkin that i might wanna go this route. it/they will be going in my 1994 Toyota Camry wagon so plenty of space. rapid responses would be great as i would have to sell these, and d…

i just saw the ssa black friday sale on the 15" XCON for 289 plus shipping. even though i just got an ICON i am considering picking the XCON up. but im wondering if 1000 watts would be enough power for a while till i am able to get the proper amp for it. dont wanna do something wrong by underpowering it

My next system is going to be a single 18 setup on 3000watts. So far the plan was to go with the Fi BTL, but the more I read about the Xcon, the more I want one. The only problem I have is that I am worried that it couldn't take 3000 daily. I would be easy on the gain, I just don't want to fry such a beautiful piece of equipment. EDIT: (Spelling)

So its time to finally do this review. First things first Mark and Aaron are great guys who run an honest business and sell amazing products. As of now they have been in my car play music for a year and half. They are still in perfect working order and the spiders and surround remain firm. Coil has no signs of wear and there is no mechanical noise what so ever. how much would it be to put a new dust cap or cone( or whatever the correct term is) on a 15" ICON? It is brand new only played music for maybe 30 minutes im guessing and then a friend put a beer on my sub without me knowing and it hit and now has a huge crack in it. sucks to not have it in after all the waiting ive already done.

Icon came in today! Had to go to work, but I will have it dropped into the box tonight. I'll take some crappy pics with my phone.

I will be making a order in the near future and trying to figure which is my best bet. This will be for 2 12in ICONS in a 3-3.5cu sealed setup. I will go copper coil but also wondering should I get the dual 1ohm or dual 2ohm. Also is a SAZ-1000 enough or should I go SAZ-1500. I would like to stay with one amp to power both subs. Thanks

how much does an xcon 12" weigh? and 15"?

Would three 10" Dcons be comparable to 1 15" Icon. Both with a Sundown sax1200, in a 3.5 cu box

well i finally have enough to order the 15" ICON and i was wondering which coil i should get. copper or aluminum? the aluminum is a little bit more money. and also i was wondering about which amp to get. would the SAZ-1000D be enough power or should i go with the SAX-1200D instead?

So right now, I have a crappy Pioneer not even 200watts running off my JL Audio 500/1 ... So I want an Icon because I want a nicer subwoofer that I can grow into.. The woofer will be put into a sealed enclosure about 1.0 cubes. So obviously output will be louder with the better woofer and higher wattage.. Am I okay to underpower it? I just received the newsletter from SSA, it mentions a few updates and what not.. One of the links which got me all excited and happy says 12" Icon sale pricing! Of course I clicked the link and it is dead.. This is what I see, anybody else have the same issue? I wanna buy a new woofer!!!
