I was wondering if i could get my icon reconed to an 18. I know you don't have them on your shop or site but i was wondering if you could do a custom one. If not how much would it be to get it reconed to a 15? It is a 10" d2.

bought this sub back in january and finally installed it in my truck about a month ago was in a sealed box about .7cubes and heard some air leaks first thought it was coming from a gap when i mounted the sub to the box. turns out a small spot on the dust cap was glued so i had to buy some goop and fix that works great after. recently started building a ported box and was going to mount the sub in the new box and was just doing a look over on all the parts before i mounted it and noticed a bit of glue missing where the cone meets the spider, it isnt seperated just missing glue it looks like. cant say if it was user error or just a mfg defect, sub hasnt been pushed hard i…

just installed 2 brand new 12 icons. got into an accident and an object broke the plastic face. Is this just a dust shield that can be remover and replaced or patched. or will it need to be sent in to be fixed? i havnt had time to remove it from the box to see more. thanks.

Whats the difference between these three subs and how do they compare against each other? Which one gets the loudest, best sq, & can handle the most power? Lets say there's 2 15s in the max recommended ported box on a Sundown 1500 for comparison.

Well, currently, I have two 10'' TC-7s. I'm looking to upgrade next summer, and I wanted to do four 8's, but I really wanted to try icon, which would force me to a 10''. Just curious is if there is anything floating around for an 8'' to be made.

well I got my 2 15" icons running off a zx2500. How well can they take it on clean power? I can beat mine for about a good 10 min then they start to give a little smell out. I have the bass boost off and gains only set 1/4 of the way. On one song today I even heard it pop. Looked like from over excursion or something ( if thats what makes them pop). I am getting a buddy of mine that owns a shop to see what he thinks and if the smell is the voice coils.

wow just wow... i was told that i should wire it up to 4 ohms and let it run for a week to break it in so i did that and i thought it wouldnt sound too good until i wired tto the full 1 ohm but man was i wrong. im running an ed nine.1 and its wired to 4 ohm so the sub is probbly getting about 500-600 watts and it still sonds amazing. can only imagine how the whole 1300 will sound. Couldnt get any vids today but i will tomorrow. 1 question though. should i leave it wired to 4 ohms to brea in or will i be fine wiring it up to 1 ohm and letting it break in that way?

  18. Ok, this is just a test feeler for SERIOUS interest. We have not finalized the added cost or pricing yet, so don't ask. Weight wise, they are nearly identical to the current caps being used on the SSA Icon and SSA Xcon (possible convex cap for the Zcon). Below is what the 10" Xcon looks like with the Carbon Fiber cap installed (thank you to Duran for the work and Sean DeYoung for the picture). If we were to offer it, it would be a limited edition, upgrade option. Tell us your thoughts. We really like the looks of it.

When your sub bass goal is nothing but supreme, unrestrained performance without compromise, the choice is the SSA Evil. The capabilities of the SSA Evil put it in very exclusive company at the zenith of the marketplace. This is where you look first for the ultimate ‘ground pounder’ that will not miss or muddy a note. Crisp and clean across the entire frequency range for those demanding outstanding linear performance thanks to an FEA optimized motor. Employing a massive triple stack motor, five sandwiched 10” progressive Nomex spiders, an anodized vented Aluminum former, a huge 4-layer 4” flat wound Aluminum coil and a towering ‘Venturi’ solid pole, the SSA Evil has the m…

  20. Welcome to the very first 8” sub worthy to wear the SSA logo. A decade of reknown SSA signature sound that is pure, warm, and precise, while having tremendous output that is now finally availble in the new SSA F8L 8” sub. (Pronounced “Fatal”) Vicious in looks, and pure beef in build, the all new SSA F8L 8” sub is an absolutle tank just like every other SSA sub, but finally in a compact package. Conservatively ratted at 650 watts, right off the bat, you can tell the SSA F8L means business. For the serious mechanical side of the design, the SSA F8L employs a very powerful motor with dual high strength Y35-140 oz magnets protected by a motor boot, yet the inductance is…

  21. First off, let me say this is a huge announcement for our little website/forum/shop. Mark and I have dreamed of having our own line of speakers for a long time. The biggest issue was the sheer cost to start one. Recently we came across an unreal offer we had to jump on, which we are dearly greatful for. My first and foremost desire was to make a great Sound Quality subwoofer that the masses could afford. Also, I wanted to make a durable daily driver subwoofer that could handle some power with out breaking a sweat. The other wish was to have a subwoofer with the ablity to get loud in the right enclosure, not record breaking loud, but respectable if someone wanted to …
