i got it workin thank god! i couldnt get it by myself so i let a local shop do it. he says its runnin at 1ohm. but it was goin into protection the way you showed me. so he hooked it up to both channels still with 1000rms a piece. and my god is it loud! pics will be up soon... i hope its acceptable to wire it this way. thanks for the help pics will be up soon.

What is the smallest ported enclosure you could play the Xcon 18 in at 2500 watts while maintaining optimal performance?

I finally put in my Icon 15. It's in 3.5 cubes tuned to 34 hz and it is loud as fvck and sounds clean to boot! The funny part is it isn't even broken in.

Which one would you guys go with? The pioneer flip out or kenwood flipout? I've used the kenwood, and may buy today. Need opinions on how fast compared they are. Features don't matter, only backup cam and variation of eq setting.

i was looking at the ssa subs page and i seen that it said comin soon D4 SSA dcon 8, just wantin to know if this is true?

This may sound strange, but I was wondering what would be involved with getting more details on the actual dimensions of the ZCON and XCON 15" Basically like the magnet diameter, thickness of it, etc. (an actual technical drawing would be great too!) Reason I ask is I am working on a design for my friend's car and have enough cubic feet but limited height to work with, so I'm trying to see if I can make one of these fit. I want him to be an SSA guy if possible! Thanks in advance!

Anybody know what the mounting depth is on a 12" XCON? Can't seem to find it anywhere.

does anyone know if the icon will preform well in a 3 cu ft. ported box? 3 cubes is all i can fit in my CRX since i want to keep the sub covered. any input would be great

Does anyone know the measurement between the underside of the mounting flange and the top of the surround of an EVIL18? I don't know how closely USACi monitors the below the window line rule. I sure hope I don't have to account for woofer excursion...

I don't know if its my settings on my headunit or if it's my songs format (data and mp3) but i'm starting to notice most of my songs sound like crap. I set my gains with my volt meter and the low pass is set around 80hz and no bass boost. My enclosure is 2.2 cubes tuned to 32hz and i'm thinking maybe its too big? One song I noticed it bottomed out and I set my gains to volume 52 with a -4db 40 or 50hz test tone I believe, I was only playing the song around 34-38. I can turn down my eq on my headunit but then my frontstage midbass is not even being used. Do I need an external equalizer? and smaller box since it bottomed out? I mean the song Young Jezzy "You know what …

After a few years of collaborative effort, passive crossovers are here for the Evil component system. Thank you Aaron, Julian, Vladd, Parker and Sean. This was definitely a team effort. When Aaron approached me with this idea a few years ago I was excited to design a set of passive crossovers that were based on performance first and not price or size. These really do sound great, I am proud of the design and the rest of the team knocked out a great PC board and enclosure. I don't think you can find anything better at this price point. I got an icon 12 recently, it's in a sealed box, and I Love how low it goes. If I really turn my radio up it gets Loud and sounds clean. Thing is I think I'd like some more output, but still want it to get nice and low and sound good. I listen to mostly industrial, a bit of triphop, and rarely metal and rock, what would you recommend as far as a ported box goes?

Will a set of Dcon 15'' in a 6cf box tuned to 35hz with 90in of port on a audiopipe 1500.1 work are is that amp 2much for them. and how long b4 the Dcon are in stock..

I am planning on purchasing 2 dcon 10's to replace my current fi bl 15" but i am not sure what to get. ill be running them on my saz-1000d and im not sure if they could take the power at 1 ohm or should i play it safe at 2 ohms?

I was leaning towards a eD 13ov.3 but with the power I have on tap DLS A3 1200 watts at 1 ohm I am going for the big boy. So if you have a used one in good mechincal and cosmetic shape please let me know. I may have a TREO SSX 750.1 (does 1500watts at 1 ohm) for trade if you want to add a few bucks to the swap. I started some spring cleaning today and noticed the mids on my old Baby Advent IIs had blown out the surrounds, so I figured I'd throw the Evil 6.5s in their place and have some fun. Now, these are in a simple bass reflex at 9.1L. There's a simple 1st order crossover running up to 6K, so the woofer is wide open down low and starts rolling 6dB at 6K. It's a really simple design. These are being powered by an old Pioneer Elite receiver rated at 40WPC at 6 ohms. Standing DCR on them was 7.12, so we're in business. Now, I didn't expect much as this was just a WTF experiment. Hi all, I'm considering a false floor, but depth will be a factor. I can't seem to find the depth for the 12 and 15" xcons on the site (store or the SSA site). Anyone got info to share? thanks

Could someone please confirm the exact cut-out diameter for a new Icon 12"? The Sketch-Up seems to indicate just over 11", but I would like to confirm before touching saw to MDF. Thanks!
