Just a quicky video I made. I just noticed that when it shows me turning up the bass knob it appears to be at full, when in fact it's only half, the knob spun out one day becuase of the heat down here so the dot doesn't line up to where it's actually at lols. Anyways, here's the video...

How much would it cost to recone an ssa icon 15"???? thanks in advance

Do the ssa icon sound good in a sealed enclosure?the setup would be 2 15"icon running off a single audioque2200 in a car trunk?

I was just wanting to know how long it usually takes to have them manufactured and shiped out

i see that the free xcon enclosures have an optimum ported, but no dual optimum ported. regular ported is 2.6 cubic feet, what would be the optimum ported enclosure for 2 xcon tens?

Currently I'm running a 10" Icon in a 1.5 cube box at 32hz with 1000-1200rms. Is there much of a difference if I used a smaller box such as 1-1.35 cubes with the same tuning?

Some backstory about me..... OK, I've been into audio for a few years. I always ran what the locals consider inferior or off brand subs. There's just something great about running paper cone house subs (adire audio shivas) and beating everyone in town in the spl comps I wanted to improve on my previous score of 148.7 on the dash using 2 shivas. (The meter was a terrasonde xmeter that I suspect measures about 6-8 db higher than a TL) I ran 2 S15L7's for about a year and only hit a 150.5 on that same meter. I just want to express my gratitude and tell you guys at SSA that the new site is fvcking amazing looking and is MUCH more user friendly than the last, somewhat "confusing to navigate" site (especially for viewing threads and posting). I'm on CA most of the day, but this site appearance dogs CA's.

I would like to know the status on these recones I ordered back on may 2nd. I talked to Mark when we were at Big Apple for a comp this past sunday and he told me to get ahold of him and he would see what was going on, but I am unable to get ahold of him.. I am looking for a redone kit for my old 2009 icon 12. Any idea where I can find one. Also I would like to send it in to where I buy from insuring it is done professionally.

So I drove to Sumter today and met up with Master Yoda for the test and tune. This was my first try on any meter and I really had no idea what to expect. I was kinda worried I might get over there and embarrass myself being a virgin and all. Here are the results 148.55 @ 36hz sealed legal 146.10 @ 40hz Average on music 148.67 @ 36hz Peak music I am always pretty conservative with my gains and noticed zero clipping on the TL meter and also got some suggestions to help improve on this. Yoda is putting this on again in 2 weeks and I am curious to see what I can do with a little tweaking and maybe a little turn of the gain. Not too bad for a first time rookie running SQ sub…

does anyone know if the icon will preform well in a 3 cu ft. ported box? 3 cubes is all i can fit in my CRX since i want to keep the sub covered. any input would be great

Looking for a little help on deciding which sub setup to run. First off the vehicle is a 2005 explorer. Already have a Sundown SAZ-3500d to power them. Electrical upgrades will be DC 270 amp alt., big three in 1/0, two runs to back of vehicle in 1/0 and 2 D3100 batteries. Purpose of the system is daily ground pounder. Want loud and clean. Listen to a little bit of everything except country. The original plan was 2 XCON 15's in a ported enclosure. So I was doing some research and need some help. I plan to use a box that has the sub facing up and needed to know how tall the box has to be to fit a SSA XCON 18. Can't find info on what the length of the sub is. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Which one would you guys go with? The pioneer flip out or kenwood flipout? I've used the kenwood, and may buy today. Need opinions on how fast compared they are. Features don't matter, only backup cam and variation of eq setting.

This may sound strange, but I was wondering what would be involved with getting more details on the actual dimensions of the ZCON and XCON 15" Basically like the magnet diameter, thickness of it, etc. (an actual technical drawing would be great too!) Reason I ask is I am working on a design for my friend's car and have enough cubic feet but limited height to work with, so I'm trying to see if I can make one of these fit. I want him to be an SSA guy if possible! Thanks in advance!

I just received the newsletter from SSA, it mentions a few updates and what not.. One of the links which got me all excited and happy says 12" Icon sale pricing! Of course I clicked the link and it is dead.. This is what I see, anybody else have the same issue? I wanna buy a new woofer!!!

Hi guys, After lots of research I decided I'd really like to get the Icon 12. I'm most likely putting this in a prefabbed box so I need to make sure it will fit. Does anybody have the magnet diameter for this sub? I see the mounting depth but not the magnet diameter listed on the product page. Thanks!

Finnaly pulled the trigger and ordered a mighty XCON!! I love what you guys are doing and I can't freakin wait to get my Xcon!! The sense of community is really one of the many things I really like most about you guys and I love supporting the smaller business. (Especially when they have the capability to kick the arse of most of those mainstream companies!) Been out of the game for a while and it really wasn't like this last time I had a system. Has anyone purchased or done an install with a 10" xcon? If so can you post your feedback or info.

Just ordered my Icon 15 and SAE 1000D!! Can't wait. Any one know how long it takes for the Icon to be shipped? And is 4.0ft^3 @ 32hz good?
