So in the mail, I gots a package... I went over to mom's to get it since I don't trust my neighbors... lol. Long story short... I stalked the UPS page since I was given my tracking number last night by Mark... I called out of work to enjoy a long riding day and wasted alot of gas.. Not only is the Icon a beast, I have to back down on the output so that I can hear my interiors properly.. I had a SHYT-ton of pictures and videos but my stupid Android ROM gheyed on me and didn't save anything from today at all... So I pulled out the Cannon from the attic and will have some tomorrow. The sub not only gets low, but it can keep up with all the notes.. I tried some killer rock, …

So I installed my new 12" xcon last week and I could not get it to seal up against the baffle. Tried 3 times. Upon taking off the gasket i found the gasket had a tear in the seam and after really looking it over I found the basket is warped/bent in the upper right side. I can't seem to find any sort of tech support for SSA, but I don't wanna try to fix it myself unless I know I can't get it fixed under warranty. Any help is greatly appreciated!

As of now, the 10" and 12" versions of the brand new SSA Dcon are ready to ship! The 8" model will follow soon, and we will give an ETA when we know for sure it is ready. The Dcon, as we mentioned before, is our mid-power, sound quality biased driver. Very clean and accurate in sealed, and really thrives in smaller ported boxes. 300 watts is plenty in either box alignment. For the most part, a scaled back Icon. All stats and specs can be found >> on the SSA Dcon website. SSA Dcon 10D4 SSA Dcon 12D4 We will have updated pictures of the Dcon, just like the Icon when we have a chance to professionally shoot them.

In the spirit of the up coming holiday's, we are going to start a few simple little giveaway contests. This first one involves photography of SSA speakers. We are looking to add more pictures to the site and want to open it up to the SSA members and SSA speaker owners and see what we find. ** Keep this topic for pictures ONLY during the contest, all discussion posts will be moved, the details are very simple so there should be no questions. ** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Contest Details: Post up your best picture(s) of an SSA sub woofer, installed or not. My next system is going to be a single 18 setup on 3000watts. So far the plan was to go with the Fi BTL, but the more I read about the Xcon, the more I want one. The only problem I have is that I am worried that it couldn't take 3000 daily. I would be easy on the gain, I just don't want to fry such a beautiful piece of equipment. EDIT: (Spelling)

I'm building a set of passive crossovers to do justice for the SSA Evil midwoofers and silk dome tweeters. This is a no compromise design that uses 48 (!) parts per set. They will be potted in epoxy resin inside ABS enclosures and hard wired with direct connection to the drivers. I have been working with these drivers for a while now and really like them. Install will be in a 1978 F-150 a good friend and I built. The rest of the system will be a SSA 150.4 and a 10" custom built PSI sub.

We are going to be keeping a 30 driver inventory on hand for more efficient shipping time. This will be a great buffer between SSA and the build house, so in most cases after our inventory arrives, SSA subs will have a 24 hr shipping time frame! This is all in effort to get YOU, the customer a better shopping experience! :drink40: :drink40:

I recently read a review for the AA SMD 18 and they identified the sub as a SQ sub. With that being said below are the results of the testing.. Score Chart Musical score: 7 of 10 Overall Sound Quality: 8 of 10 Tonal Balance: 7 of 10 Low Frequency Extension: 7.5 of 10 Clarity at Low Volume: 6.5 of 10 Clarity at High Volume: 8.5 of 10 Impact: 9 of 10 when testing they said the sub did not perform well (in terms of sound quality) at low volume. How does the Xcon 18 sound at low and high volume?

Ok here are pics of my 10" DCON that I won... :bigclap: . Also I will be posting my build log and review as I go. So here are the pics. Arrival: Open: Angle view due to glare Side view Another side shot Another And the @$$ shot And finally with the SSA Stickers... This speaker is built like a tank. Build quality is top notch and the attention to detail is flawless. I am hoping I can get started on the box's this weekend. I am going with 2 boxes. 1 sealed and the other ported to see what this thing can do and compare. The wife as expressed an interest in this sub, she would like it for her vehicle.

Well, we spent some money today . What we spent it on was a professionally produced video for SSA Sub's. John, who is producing the video currently has 3 Video's on MTV! Just looking at the footage we took, this video should be like nothing you've seen before as far as excursion videos go. Also, we plan to stream this on the home page and our youtube home page. Editing should take a few days. Hopefully he doesn't get side tracked in the process. Here's a little pic I took while he was working. Link to his other video's: john colombo on Vimeo UPDATE: btw, the guy in the video is our very own Sound=Vibration from SSA forums...

We are looking to pick up 2 or 3 Bass Race competitors. We would like them to be able to get it going for the remainder of this season. If you are interested, we are looking for someone with bass race experience, if not, having a good deal of SPL time under their belt. The ICON is a good bass race candidate. This is not a sponsorship. As we are way too small of a company to give away equipment. This is for people who can do a good number of shows. This is in the beginning stages. I would compete myself, but family and work do not allow me the time to build and travel to shows. The drivers would be at dealer cost, if amplifiers were needed also we could take care…

Asked Sundown this and will all you too, what you would consider your SQ sub? Again they all look to have a consideration for SQ and not be pure SPL or one note wonders, but again maybe 60-40 street beater vs. SQ. Do you have any plans for an SQ reference sub as well?
