In order to get a ported box just perfect could you just punch in your cubic feet what you are needing in your box, then get the port dimensions and figure up the displacement of this inside of your box and add in sub woofer displacement. After I add these up could I enter my Height, Top and Bottom depth, then using my length as my variable to figure up how many cubic feet I need? In other words say that I have a sub woofer that has a displacement of .11. Then i figure up a port that would displace .2 cubic feet in a box. I'm needing 1.2 cubic feet after sub and port displacement. So the box should be 1.31 cubic feet inside? Here are my two designs http://img.photobucket.…

This past weekend I attended DBDrag World Finals at Dayton Ohio (I only live 45 minutes away) and competed in the 3x event. The event was ran great from the judges and ran smooth from start to finish. I was very happy to see fellow Fi competitors. One was Dr. Boom. For those of you that don't know him, he has 6 15" BTLs walled in a Scion xB off of 6 Sundows 3500s. His install was by far the cleanest there, and his car was a show stopper for sure. I got a demo from him, unfortunately my esophagus started to close up so it got hard to breathe, but boy did those BTLs sound great!! I'm getting my fi btl 12 fully loaded..and I have no clue what screws/bolts to use. I've read some forums and some people have used bolts with t nuts..anyone please help.! I need exact size that will fit the holes and will hold my btl nice and sturdy!

So I have been sittin here planning out my next system almost to a T, when the thought pops in my head, maybe I should find out the competition rules and types of competitions there are before I do any major planning. Does anyone have any ideas or sites I can hit up to find out the various competitions and rules regarding these comps? My last plan was a F150 with shell on the bed. I was gonna do a wall with 4 18" BTLs, allowing the box to take up some room in the bed. I was probably gonna port front as well, but have some templates and planning to do first. Is there even a competition for such vehicle or do i need to go back to the drawing board. 4 18" BTL's not sure …

So I ordered some woofers from this outfit. In big red blinking letters they announce "Build Time 5-7 Days." That's cool. Tack on another 4 for shipping, so we're looking at two weeks. No biggie. I put my order in, a Friday night no less. It's not till Monday that my payment is accepted, so two weeks from Monday. I have one ufo mag sytle btl right now that I am using, has the cooling and the high-xmax coil....I have had it since new and remember there being an option for the heat ring(pretty sure thats what it was called,) I got everything but that option...would a btl with the heat ring be ok to throw in with mine that does not have that? Hi, guys I just had a quick question. I am in the market for a used 15 in BTL. I was wondering what the differences of the UFO style magnet are vs the newer ones. Is the UFO style 2000w RMS like the current? Also does it still have 28mm of xmax. And can it handle a little bit of overpowering (2400w) like the new style can. Posting for a friend..he's had his BTL for week....and we are both kinda curious how this happens and if there is any type of warrenty, figuring the VC is still 100% fine, the sub still plays and all. P.S. I can't seem to get a response from Scott....I still need a shim to align the gap and one screw to mount the basket to the motor (had to use an easy out on one of them).

I went outside this morning to work on my alternator that has been giving me problems and when the garage door opened up the was a fedex guy digging through his truck. Since he was on the other side of the road I just didn't think anything of it. When he dug out a box, struggled to pick it up and then started walking to my house I freaked out. Without any shipping info or warning at all my BL 15 came in the mail today!!!!!!!!!!! I am order #1624 ordered on April 2nd and got my sub in perfect condition today April 26th. Don't even have a box made... Thought it would take a lot longer to get it here.

I was wondering if I ordered a BTL with the universal option and dual 1 ohm VC what will be the cost of having them changed to dual 2 ohm VC in the future. I'm having a tough time choosing what subs to use. I feel if I use the BTL's I will need massive power to be happy with them, but I currently don't have the funds for massive power only funds for a little power including battery and alternator. I also feel if I get BL's I will eventually want to upgrade to BTL's. Fi is making this a very hard decision. BTW, am I going to hate the BTL's sq? I listen to rap alot but also enjoy rock and plan on demo'ing with my truck for others. So being able to reproduce music of all ki…

I was curious about the universal option offered for the BTLs.I understand that it is so you can change between dual 1 and 2 ohm coils, but what are the drawbacks?I noticed it says that if you don't get the universal option that the motor will be optimized for the ohm load configuration you order.So does that mean that a universal BTL won't ever perform quite as up to par as one that isn't universal?Just curious, because I figured if their were no drawbacks then all of the subs would have them.Thanks man for any feedback.I really appreciate it.

I'm going to order a BTL 18 1-ohm after I order a T1500-1bd. I was planning on getting all the options, daily, and universal. I was just wondering if there's any downside to getting the universal option. Thanks for the help.

I just ordered a sub and im pumped at how much it will pump. I ordered a 10"Q, Dual 1Ohm, Burgandy Dustcap to match my car and i cant wait to install it. as title says looking for the newest update on BTLs. I ordered towards the end of back order but really hoping i can recieve my woofers in the next couple weeks. I have 4 audio competitions between August 28th and September 8th so an updates can help me. I do not wanna rip out the system i have now to not recieve anything before this time period but id like to start my wall build if i will. Any updates will put me at ease =) thanks, justin
