So I'm new to this forum, but hoped I could get a little bit of help on an upcoming build I'll be helping a friend out with. He bought an 18" Fi BL which the seller claimed was "fully loaded". And he wants some help building a box for it. My 1st question is there a way to insure what options it was built with, like is there a serial number that can be looked up to see what it was originally bought with or a way you can tell what options it was built with? My next question is what is the optimal enclosure for these assuming it is fully loaded? He'll be running around 2500 watts (we'll set the gain to meet the power capabilities of the sub once we know what it truly is). H…

I'm wondering how long does it take to get a refund for an order. I want the driver but I can't wait any longer for it. As I have out of town business to attend to. So how long. Has any one ever had to wait to get a refund from FI before? So far that is the only part of my build missing and I already missed a local show because my driver is late. Can someone shine some like here. Thanks

Hello folks. I been a forum lurker for quite a while. I happened to run across a pair of Fi X 10 inch preproduction models. I have no clue as to the specs of these. A guy locally has them for sale..and I was very interested in them. Would anybody happen to know the specs(rms, suggested enclosure size) on the X's as I assume they were from the first run of the sub. Thanks

Was thinking of inverting my BTL UFO 12" as the cutout diameter is the same size as the motor. Should I compensate box volume for this action? I may want to revert it normally in the future, but I have a show on the 17th that I will be attending and would like to show this beast motor off. Space is not an issue, as I am downsizing from my previous enclosure for my zcon. Is there an audible motor noise that comes with this? downsides?

Just wanted to drop a line about the guys at Fi Audio. I ordered my Q12 on April 4. I just recieved an email that FedEx picked my package up today and should be delivered to me at the latest by Friday. Not a bad turn around time, took exactly 16 business days for it to go through the build process. I got an email last Thursday that they finished all the steel and were waiting for the motor to dry. I wasn't expecting the assembly to go that quickly. I had excellent customer service since day 1 and I would tell anyone contemplating like I was doing to just buy it already, you won't regret it. I had time to get the rest of my build together and am basically plug and play whe…

Just got an email from Fi saying they lost all their emails in the past 2 weeks. I hope this isn't bad news for anyone who was trying to come in contact with them. This is the email they sent me: To all: We are so sorry but we have had our email system go down. It seems that for the past two weeks we have had an ever increasing dropping of emails culminating in our inbox catastrophically going down as of last night. With the hard drive failure we have lost all emails from the past two weeks. Please forward any correspondence if you are still waiting for a reply and we will get back to you ASAP. Sorry to all this has effected and also to those that this does not ap…

First time Fi buyer! Just finished building and installing my new box for my SSD. Everything is ready to go except..... no subwoofer. I was told by Nick within the past two weeks that it would ship around last friday. Status on the website has said "awaiting fulfillment" for the past 16 business days. Just really anxious to get this thing. People say they are definitely worth the wait, but I have never heard one before, and don't want to finally get this thing and be "not so impressed" 2.3 (net) cubes tuned about 35hz with roughly 35 sq.in of port. will be running on a p1000.1bd. My hopes are high and don't want them to be crushed after this long wait. Any idea o…

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=121288534084 A few weeks ago I had been in bed sick and was either stir crazy or medicine crazy and bid on and won this auction. Normally I wouldn't have bid on an auction with so little info but I did. I received the sub its in perfect shape looks practically brand new. Only problem is I have no idea what model it is or the vc impedance. Is there any way at all to identify what model this is? Any help a t all would be great. Thanks!

Should I be taking it easy on my 2 brand new Bl's until they break in a little or does that not matter? My old setup seems like it put out more spl and it was less power. These do sound good I just need to tweak the settings more then before.I was running 2 RF T0 12's with 1000bdcp,Now I have the 2 fully loaded BL 12's dual 2 wired to 2 ohms at the 1500bdcp. If I bump the BL's like I was bumping my old subs is it going to hurt them since there stiff as shit? I don't wanna screw myself out of some new subs I just spent $800 on.

I placed an order for the Fi SP4 15 on 2-14-14 and the order status says awaiting fulfillment, not quite sure what that means but the money has been taken from my account and I cannot get ahold of Fi. I have emailed them multiple times with no response and the only phone number I have when I call it says it's an old Fi number the mailbox is full and to email the store. Any help is appreciated.

Ok I'm sure some will get a kick out of this, but this is my first time with an Fi sub. I have everything wired up and just have to screw the sub into the box, but I'm not sure how to go about doing that. It looks like the whole surround is metal with rubber on top. There are some partial holes on the bottom of the metal but they don't match up with anything on top. I'm just a little confused because I thought this would be the easiest part, and I figured I would ask before I go about damaging the sub with a drill. Sub is 12" BTL N2. I've had it for years and never got around to installing it until now.

Q 12" next an Alpine Type-E 12" HA I'm 21, never done much wood/mdf work, and this is the first time I've ever attempted building an enclosure. Fortunately, it's going in that narrow little trunk hole in the rear of my 4th gen Camaro, so the shape of the enclosure is pretty simple. (Also, only pic of my girlfriend who was there helping the whole 3 days for this project. If you can't tell, I'm a terrible person.) ↓ All done with a jigsaw. The planning/drawing out and cutting of the pieces took the best part of two days. Liquid nails and countersunk screws Flaring the pvc on a bowl in some boil…
