I'm trying to decide on which to run in my car. I will be taking out the back seats of my honda civic coupe and more then likely walling it off. The choices are either 2 15" BL's or a single 18" BTL. This is my daily driver so I need help deciding. Not sure on amp yet. Probably around 2500rms. lmk Andrew

I had two JL 10w3v3 setup on a JL 500/1 in some sealed fiberglass boxes...and yet again for the second or third time I was unsatisfied with JL. So they're on ebay right now and I was turned to Fi. I'm liking what I've been seeing, and am really considering the Q 12's. I'm putting them in a tiny ass RSX lol. I plan to fiberglass and port them. Probably 1.8 cubes tuned to 32hz. My main question is the amp. I was hoping to go with a RF T20001BD if I can fit that huge thing in my car...I'll have to do some measuring to make sure. Anyway, if I did the T20001BD, you think I'll need the BP power option on the Q's? If you have any other input on what I'm doing, lemme kno…

ok i just started looking into fi subs, and i kind of like them, i like the q series 12's and i have some questions. First they say that these subs are a 1000 watts rms wattage, does this mean that u can put 1000 watts to them all the time without any damage??Also are these speakers long lasting, because i see alot about getting them reconed and stuff like that. and i have a l7 10" which im thinking about sending back to get a q series sub and was wanting some more sound quality, but i was wondering will the q series get as loud or louder then the l7 considering how many more watts they are?? and why does fi make the subs either dual 1 or 2 ohm?? why cant they make it wher…

  10. im getting a 15" BTL with cooling, 3rd magnet, hi-xmmax coil in a 4 cubic foot box with a slot port tuned to 32Hz. i have a hifonics BXi2006D monoblock amp that has 2000 rms at 1 ohm. its the new generation thats suppose to have better circuitry and protection as well. i know it says its only 1 ohm stable but it seems like i have seen people running amps like these at .5 or .6 ohms. what do you guys think? please help me out as i want to order this soon as possible. should i get the dual 1 or 2 ohm option? thanks

I need a set for an old Brahma 10", I am wondering if FI could sell me 4 tinsel leads so I can repair it. I figured, FI sells most of the parts on their subs if you want them, so could I get some tinsels? Thanks

Just ordered 2 15" fully loaded BTL's. Wondering what to use for power as this will be mainly a SPL application. Using a wall in a extended cab pickup. Box area for subs will be close to 10.5 cubic feet after ports, subs and bracing are subtracted from total box area.

Everything is connected, power is on the speaker wire that is run inside the box and all connections (everything, RCA, remote, power, ground.) are all tight and in place... my problem is that I cannot wire for a 2 Ohm load like this woofer wiring diagram from Rockford Fosgate on the Q, as the Q does not have + and - for each voice coil on the same sides of the sub., so that way of wiring is impossible with the Q... Below is a picture of how I test wired it just to see if it would work and present the 2 Ohm load to the sub, but the subwoofer would not even come on. It acted as if there was no power going to it, which there was, but not at the right load (is that correct?)…

  23. Alrighty. Well I finally put the BL's in this week, and they are so much better thatn I could ever expected. Ive got them running off of a single 20.1 @ .5 ohms. Video: pictures: So I just threw the termlab in it and it burped a 148.3 @ 41hz. It may have some more in it...but then again I didn't build it to get real loud. Thanks again scott and shawn Nick...mi nuss fo yo mouf

So I am gettin a 07 Charger SRT, which will be turned into a daily driver and show car on the side. I plan on puttin 4 10's in a baffle in the back in a real nice setup. I am curious as to what the difference between the SSD and Q are and which would be better for this. I listen to EVERYTHING from bluegrass, techno, old rock, rock, heavy metal, to even rap.

Please include how many spiders each line of FI subs use and if it is different depending on the size please include that. I couldn't find this listed anywhere. Also for example IF the BL sub used 4 spiders and the ssd 2. are they the same spiders just more layers? thanks
