it doesn't make sense, when i chose the p chamfer option it added $10 then i chose the cooling option too and it doesn't have a price. and there's a note that it i chose both p chamfer and cooling, uncheck the p chamfer because p chamfer is incuded in the package of the cooling. in short, if i get both options, the p chamfer and the cooling, i will get it for free, but if i only get the p chamfer option, i need to pay addtl $10 for it. can someone explain this for me, thanks. i'm also planning on getting the universal option, my question is, if i get this option will there be any changes in the performance of the sub? or side effects?

I have 4 FI BL 12's and was wondering how many cubes net should I build an enclosure for them? Also how low should I tune to do hair tricks? They will be seeing a little over 6,000 watts of power.

Rather then stay up until 3 in the morning for firechat due to time differences i though id ask here... Need a sub for my HT. Currently I have two BL's in my car. I want something that that plays lower with more depth then the BL's. I love low lows with presence. IB is not a option in my current place. What is my options and what options should I select? is there something else I should specify? Sealed ported whatever I can build the box and consider my self a bass-head intermediate but this whole HT thing has me baffled. I know Scott has his finger in other sub companies as well, which makes me think why Fi and not any of the other companies he has a part in? I ne…

  8. okay so I have posted on here a time or two before when first acquiring my FI audio speakers. I am driving a 2010 Chevy Malibu two fully loaded 12" Fi Q's, built for a sealed enclosure due to the lack of space to slide a box in the trunk. I have a Brutus BRZ 2400 hooked up to them, running them wired down to 1 ohm resistance. I also have a kinetic 2400 battery, nothing done to battery up front or alternator. 0 gauge knukoncepts ran throughout This is my daily driver and i run the system every time im on the road (on highways for 2.5+ hours a day) the RMS rating for these subs is 1500 apiece if i remember correctly, and from what I have heard, added resistance when turnin…

  9. which one would sound louder (spl) because i like the idea of having an 18 but i only have room for about 5 cubes so after diplacement and all that it would be in the 4cu/ft range like i know it would have more cone area but in a box too small for it btl would have the cooling and himax coil options

I currenty have thhe two subs in a 4th order blowthrough off of a 4500d on 16 volts. Gains were set around 1/2 way and it pounded for bout 4 days. Then I decided to turn it up a little. Between 1/2 and 3/4. Now the subs don't seem near as loud to me..could it be I'm just gettinng used to them? I'm gonna check with the dmm tomorrow and read the coils and see how many watts the amp is putting out...I hope I didn't mess anything up:(

  15. So... I was on my way home listening to my Q and it suddenly stopped working. I parked and left it on and felt the sub while it was playing. When I pushed in just a tad, I felt it move a little. But when I let off...nothing. I took the sub out and found that the black plastic piece that holds the push terminals in came un glued. Im assuming that's the problem... I tried to get a reading with my DMM, but I think its a piece of junk. It just read 1. My gain is at about half. Amp is a planet audio rxd1000d which im selling soon. 2.5ft^3 box at 32hz. Don't think all that matters though considering I just need to know how to fix it right? Anyways...thanks in advance. Jonathan.…

I have been building my brothers blazer for stereo competition. I have the build in the build log area under "walling an s-10 blazer". The system is Four MA Audio 802sx amps (about 2500 watts RMS) to four 15inch fully loaded BLs with the SPL option and they are dual one ohm. The amps are then running at 1/2 ohm mono. They are in a 23 cubic foot box with a port mouth of 32 x 9 inches and it is 2 1/4 inches deep. Our best test score today was a 153.7 at 51 hz. We tried longer ports but the one we started with is the loudest so far. We have not tried making the port mouth smaller and it can not be any bigger. We also have not tried putting stuff in the box to take up…

I'm looking at buying 2 15" Q's with the bp option and just using it for daily driving no competitions. I wasn't sure if it is worth paying more money for the SAZ-3000D or if the AQ2200D is just as good of a fit for my application. I have been through a lot of bad amps and want to go with a good quality and very reliable amp that I won't be afraid it will break after a year of use. I don't know if anyone has or heard a setup like this with either amp but any input would be greatly appreciated.

I am running a fullyloaded bl15 off a planet audio bb2400 making about 1600rms. Electrical- big three, 1/0 throughout, second battery in rear, voltage stays around 14.3, drops to 13.6 for tones. My first enclosure was 5ft^3 tuned 36, 60 sq" port, with bracing, angle boards and routered port edges. Sub faces drivers seat while port fires up behind passenger seat. I hit a 143.8 meca style. Built a new box 3.5 ft^3 tuned 45 with all the bracing, angle boards and routered port edges and dropped to 141.7. I wanted to find out what box changes I may make to increase score, and if I was crazy trying to reach a 150 with a bl?

  25. This is a box plan I made, and want some output on this. I was hoping someone could double check "my work" as you would call it, to see if everything seems okay. Image attached along with specs below: box image Specs: For a 15" fi ssd in a 1st gen mazda 6 trunk. .75 MDF Gross box volume 4.05 cu ft. Net volume: I suck at math, no clue. Hoping to be within 3-3.5 cu ft range? 4" aeroport tuned @ 33hz. ***optional setup (I am leaning towards this)*** 4.05 cu ft. gross with 6" aeroport tuned @ 35hz. Dimensions: 15" tall x 35" wide x 30" BD x 4" TD x 29.15" angled front panel length. As I said, honest opinions are GREATLY appreciated, as I want to nail this project. Thanks! -…
