I see a lot of people that's wanting to sell a pair of sundown x 10's. The thing is idk if I have enough mounting depth for them to fit in a wedge type enclosure for my truck. I know I have enough air space for them, but mounting depth is what kicking me in the a$$. How do you guys think they would work in a wedge style enclosure? Here are the dimensions of the area I have to play with... Front height-10.5" Rear height-8" Depth-17.5" Width-55"

Whats the ohm load if you wire eight dual four ohms drivers? I know four of them ran "series/parallel" is 2ohm load. Would that mean adding four more in the same wiring configuration make it a final load of 4ohms?

I have been considering trading up the BTL, as in, the woofer, and a chunk of $$$ for a LMS Ultra 18. I'm only considering on the grounds that it's said to be more accurate down low, much smaller enclosure requirements, and well, it's my dream subwoofer. However, I am not so in love with the woofer, that i'll piss away $450 on a trade up for looks alone. Has anyone used both woofers in an optimal alignment? There's nothing wrong with my BTL, but I want to pick a woofer and stick with it. I'm sick of the changing equipment and replacing things. So, while i'm in a position, financially, to do so, I thought I would ask for your guys' opinions. I'm after SQ, but with…

why does my xcon sound like crap? i put it in a 1.5 cubic foot sealed subwoofer box with polyfil running it off a crescendo BC2k amp, subsonic on like 30 hertz and low pass on around 60-70hz it doesnt sound like its hitting the notes right at all sounds really cheap actually , like something is hitting a wooden box i previously had the 2 10inch alpine type r's in a custom ported box at 39 hertz (same radio, same amp, same settings) and it sounded WAYYYY louder, cleaner, better is it an absolute MUST to get a custom ported box for it? the sealed box i got TEMPORARY till the summer when i build my custom ported box at 32 hertz, 2.5 cubic feet. its a Belva 12 inch…

I'm building a midgate box for my avalanche and I'm looking for a good "SQL" Sub. The box is 3.8 net after port tuned to 31hz with roughly 38 sq in port (3-4" PVC 24" long). I'm going to go with a dual 12" set up or a single 15". Looking at 12" Dcons or Gcons if the box size will work or 1-15" Icon. Sub(s) will face the seat and port will be in the bed. Going to run a BRX1600 or BRX2000 depending on which sub. 60/40 on sq vs spl. Need some opinions. Thanks.

  9. OK. So I've recently come into a little bit of money (retroactive pay from finally getting a contract). So I booked a trip to Disney world for the FAM and still have a little kicking around so... Was debating either getting: a new subwoofer, a new shotgun, or finishing off a tattoo on my ribs. So, if I went with new subwoofer, I would be looking at a 15" subwoofer, dual 2 ohm coils. I will have 850 watts on tap at 1 ohm (PPI sedona 850.1) and an enclosure that would be 4 cubic feet tuned to 33 hz. My question I guess is will any of the following do well in this enclosure: 1: SSA gcon 15 2: IA lethal injection 15 3: fi ssd 15 Enclosure is already in the vehicle with an r…

So i am looking into a clean sounding component set that could keep up with 3 SA 10's Budget is not a huge matter in this as I was looking at the focal krx3. If I don't have to spend that much and keep everything in factory locations then that would be great. Going in a 2013 tundra. Plan on running them off a CT Sounds 125.2

So I am looking for a sub that could fit my needs. I need something around a 6" mounting depth as that would give me just over 1.5" of backspacing. I was planning for 4 sa 10's but my box wouldn't allow for it. My max dimensions for the box are 27-H x58-W x9.5-D1 x6.12.5-D2. Any help would be great.

ok this is my situation i currently have a 2012 Mercedes C350 and just purchased audison fronts and audison rears , audison bit one , and a hertz hx300d 12" sub 600 watt rms 1200 peak all powered by a audison voce 5.1k 5 channel amp that has 1000 watt rms at 2 ohms for subwoofer. So i had it installed at the shop and the box was a ported custom built box with the ports on top and the sub firing towards the trunk and had the amp rack installed behind the folded down back seat. I got it back and the bass just wasnt entering the cabin at all and the rear speakers arent in the deck but in the back doors and after alot of reaserch i found that everyone says mercedes trunks e…

Ok I have an 06 Scion xB. Not much room in the back for a box. I currently have a Sundown Audio Nightshade v1 and a Sundown Audio 1500v1. I would like to change systems and hopefully get a little louder. I will be going with top of line equipment. IE Digital Designs, Sundown, or PSI. What is everyone's opinion on what I should go with?

  15. Tossing up a single 15'' Sundown Zv4 or two 12'' XCON's tuned for lows. I know that the Sundown is built for it but would it be able to offer me the same amount of throw that 24'' of cone area would from two 12's?

  17. Now days the new Fi Q's are rated for 1500 RMS stock, 1700-1900 RMS with cooling while the AA Havoc is rated for 1250. In searching older reviews and comparisons I have read that for the most part the Havoc plays better down low but I don't know if it will handle the 1800-1900 watts RMS daily the Crescendo BC3500D will be giving it. I would like for the enclosure to be 5.0 net cubes tuned to a medium of 31 Hz either way and I prefer lower end deep and ground-pounding bass in the 28-36hz range more than anything. I want to flex my car to bitts and pieces and "feel" the music more than merely hear it. I want to violently shake everything and make it feel as though my car is…

  18. Hello, I am wondering if anyone would happen to know how big of a box and a great tuning frequency for a Incriminator Audio Judge 15" sub? T/S parameters would also be greatly appreciated. I just need to know the basics really, I can figure out the rest with BassBox Pro 6. So far I just been kinda guessing on what the box size should be. What I have gotten, was 5.5 Cubed tuned to 29Hz.

  21. Hello everyone, I have heard Rockford fosgate p3 12s in a ported box and sundown SA 12s in a ported box, I heard them at different times and both seem to be about the same as far as loudness goes, they are both 600 rms. I just wanted to know if anyone has had experience with either and what sub is a "better sub" in your opinion.

So I was coming home from work yesterday and I was bumping at a decent volume. I started to smell something burning, but it wasn't coil. I took a reading of the coils from the amp today and wasn't getting the correct nominal. Took the sub out and read the coils from terminals. One coil wasn't reading out at all, and the other was reading like 12. Took the coil out and this is what I found: Recone was done in November or so. This sucks.. =[

Hi all, So a month or so ago I was driving around listening to my system and had a young kid in my backseat and he kicked my amp rcas breaking them half off in the amp. Long story short my mids on my Hertz HSK components blew when I turned it up not realizing this and now sound like crap. I currently don't have the budget to go out and spend $500 on a new set. Problem is I loved these speakers and really don't want to downgrade much if possible so my only real option I see is going active. My System currently: In a 2003 Dodge Dakota Crew cab.
