Enclosure Build for vwfamily (One 12 Inch SSA Dcon)
OK OK here is my car (2010 CC R-Line) and my "old" car (2008 GTI) which my wife drives now! The GTI has some cosmetic upgrades now (this is an older pic) all 5 windows tinted, clear side markers, open fog vents. The CC will be getting tint all around, a APR stage 1 ECU tune, a Carbino intake, and maybe some H&R Sport springs. I'm not sure I want to mess with the suspension though. ALL of that will have to wait until I finish my complete audio upgrade, which will be done with-in two months!1 point

Sir-Lancelot's Yukon XL - UPDATE 18" ZCONS / 4 GP3k Page 27
For emphasis. SQ subs on roids. People get so caught up watching youtube vids of people putting up these huge numbers on fart boxes that they let the joy of sounding good every day pass them by. IMO, the XCONS are a fantastic sub for a loud ass ground pounder set up.1 point

4- sa-8 enclosure
1 pointI got an early start today. I made some panels to replace the rear seats, the cover panel from the frame to the floor, fans installed in the cover panel, amp mounted, subs and box installed and the truck put back together. I'm having issues with the 2000d, I'll post a thread in the sundown forum. The left/right rear seat panels. The cover panel. The cover panel with fans. The cover panel in place. I'm ordering some fan grills, just not sure which one's yet. The box with speaker cutouts. The box installed. The sa8's sound pretty damn good, but I'm having issues with the amp. I assume it's not enough battery, but we'll see what I can find out.1 point

jay-cee's Build Log
1 pointMy attempt in a temporary seal until my sub gets here, I thought you guys would get a kick out of it: Front View: Rear View: Im still thinking of ways of how I want to seal off the cabin from the trunk I will put plastic around the box and frame of the car so it can be removed easily when I use expanding foam, if I use it. Im also thinking I may want to build another box and possibly tune it lower but I will wait till the sub gets here and see how it performs in the current box. Dont flame me to bad Oh boy did I have big plans for that rear deck if you were wondering, never finished it (time to get a new cover but not a main priority).1 point

95 Eclipse Father/Son Project
1 pointFor all the members here that suggested contacting soundstream(you notice I did not capitalize) I sent them a link to this build here on SSA, also I sent a picture of the completed exterior of the car and a pic of the completed hatch area filled with multiple $'s of their products. Here is the responce I received from them: "Awesome car! Tell ya what... Take some more high resolututon phots fo the car and we will put it on our website. Also include a list of sponsors and modifications to show off all the work you guys did for the project..." Grizz Archer Epsilon Electronics Speaker Engineer Product & Marketing Director Team Manager I have received more from Mark & Aaron here at SSA forum and I havn't spent a dime other than my supporter contribution. Now, did I really think they would to do anything. I do feel that I might have gotten a better responce, I didn't even get a thank you for using their products. Hell, why do we need our car on their website???? It's allready on 42 pages of the best Audio website on the net. Mark & Aaron, Thanks for all the support given towards my son, myself, this project and all the members here on SSA forum!1 point

jay-cee's Build Log
1 pointI will definitely give you a mini-review J-Road as soon as the Selenium's get here. I will keep this build log going with the updates till I get the Lincoln up and running ready for install. On Friday I will be ordering a 15" D2 2010 SSA Icon with the Copper Coil, its time to give a SSA subwoofer a try. Once I get the SSA Icon installed I will be selling the Sundown Z-v.1 15"(dual 4 ohm) so anybody interested keep your eyes open for a for sale thread or pm me if interested.1 point

95 Eclipse Father/Son Project
-1 pointsLots of smack coming from someone with nothing to show! I'm not allowed to have an opinion? Honestly? It's an Eclipse, for a teenage guy. It fits perfectly. Still ricey, though Oem lip kit, some suspension, and some low offset wheels would make that eclipse look amazing. If this is gonna be a show car, OP should know what's in and whats out in the import world. You can have your opinion but until you can show that you can do better or have something better then .... This is a father son project with a lot of hard work and hours put into a project that will last a lifetime. We all could only wish we could have an oppurtunity like this! Posted these on here before Btw, who cares what kind of project it is.. am i not entitled to have an opinion on the car? I think he went the wrong direction with it.. Everyone is gonna have an opinion..it's no different than folks who get bashed for using kicker and other mainstream brands. On a brighter note, OP gets props for doing this with his son wish my dad was into cars like that-1 points
