I have no problem voicing my opinion whether it is liked or not. I own a SSA product. Unless I see some product design testing (by SSA) and specs it will be the last. MY OPINION -1 if you like. I guess you missed some of the info in the past. Anyway, the "Zcon" model line has been in the works on and off for a few years, but only recently did it get a name. There have been more then a few different big power prototypes that we tested and did not move forward with. We even flirted with a 4" coil, but did not go that direction. A couple of years ago, we had started to go with a massive triple stack driver. The output on that model was just bonkers, way more then any of our other models, but it did not have the clarity we require from our production sub woofers. Had a number of samples built up, there are a few videos on our channel with these installed, I believe the most viewed one is of John's green blazer. Over time, things got moved around, and other models were released first. A couple more prototypes went through Mark's truck, most recently the one with the two massive aero-ports. We do plenty of testing, Mark usually films his, I don't. The testing Mark does is more video friendly then my critical listening testing. As the Zcon model design is finally set, that is why we had a handful go out initially before they were actually for sale to the public. Knowing we could not send them out on the market just yet due to steel supplies, it was good to get a few out there in Team members vehicles and let them do some extended abuse testing in a number of different installs and power.

Not going to -1 you, this isn't high school lol. I'm sure the T/S specs will be available once the product is 100% done and listed on the website for sale.

It appears the SSA does not design products therefore specs are unknown. Completely different level of product. ZCONs are comimg very soon guys.... finally. And the introductory price will be killer! No thanks. Don't really have anything positive to say do you?
  4. no offense but after that post u just made, i am not going to believe anything u may have heard at this point... Switching the polarity of ONE sub doesn't magically make it louder... AC is AC and you can't argue with that... So what you heard is nothing different and if u did.. then when u hear it playing less loud.. you are hallucinating. Secondly.. why are you so happy about running a sub @1ohm in the future? 1 ohm, purely sucks.. i just don't get it.. 2ohm or 4ohm if you knew what you were doing.. I like to save the life of my soft parts when running audio equipment instead of cooking dinner with them.

We prefer to take the intelligent approach to finding a solution here.

LOL, only -1 I see is mine from someone who is apparently very butthurt. Do you need a hug? That is a lame response Lance. If you are going to rep SSA and be part of Team SSA I would think you should respond with a little more intelligence and dignity. BTW tell us how many deebeez (4) 18" ZCON and +12,000wrms produces. Should be high 150's ATLEAST imo. How do you know how well it should meter? Lance didn't build something that just gets loud in a certain spot, just to impress people on a internet forum. People lose sight of that, Lance built his to listen to it. Period. All I gotta say is your a straight up hater. You think you know something, but you really don't. You down SSA but working with two of the best in this industry to help them design a sub, instead of doing it souly alone. I see this as a positive. I much rather have a sub designed by people who know what they are doing, than a random person who wants to have there own company. Or a company who just copies other outdated subs, then sells them for a great deal more than the originals. And why do you need proof for testing? Since when does companies give you the behind the scene of any testing? I don't know many, or any at all. Just because they didn't post pictures of previews drivers, doesn't mean they don't exist. I find it better not to release protos that might not have a chance to make it to productions. Simply because, you don't have to worry about hyping and not delivering. But at the end of the day, a hater will find any reason to hate. Even if they don't make any sense.

u know the easy way to get your amp to drop in voltage slightly right? If you are charging at 14.9v or higher and u only need to drop 0.2v or more.. just do this- Do not ground strap the front to the rear battery bank. Typically.. a user will have a loss in voltage during playback from the front to the rear by several tenths of a volt due to resistance in the chassis. Now, if the amp won't stay on when there has been no playback yet and resistance is low... try and ground the amp to the chassis rather than the battery bank. None of these suggestions are recommended for someone who is already in the safe operating range... And none of these suggestions are harmful either as long as you stay within the operating range of the amplifier.

You don't want the sub to make any sound?
  13. 1 point
you should probably go ahead and read the noob guidelines. but incase thats too much be very detailed in your questions.. "SQ sub" isnt very descriptive.. give us a budget you have to work with, type of vehicle, what kind of power will you be giving this sub? experience with other subs you may have liked. and most importantly give us your goals for what you want to accomplish so people can give you good advice that will actually help you and not just go buy something that someone pics out of no where.

Zcon and Xcon can be the boom with quality!!! welcome sir!!!
  15. A friend recommended it to me. Easily the best car audio forum out there IMO
  16. Gas mileage on that Lupo is going to drop to that of a Suburban. I love it.
  17. Imma cut out the pic and put it on the subs I have now until it cant actually afford them

I think the pricing is spot on. The extra 10 bucks isn't that much, if i would be in the market for that kind of sub i would buy it. Not only do you have a great woofer, you get great customer service too. Not really something you get from DD, and DD costs almost double..

  23. troy i need a update this is way out of hand. If you have a template how hard is it to find a shop to cut the pattern and weld some spacers on the side of it? At this point IDC if my bracket is 100% clean cut i just need it finished if you cant have it in the mail by the end of this week FRIDAY MAY 13th then i want a instant refund
  24. welcome. fyi an SPL box is not made to be musical or sound good on music. port area is usually high, box is usually small and tuning is very high.
  25. Ok as I waited the longest i will speak on this first off I was issued my refund almost instantly when I asked for it. Troy has maintained excellent communication and offered me a refund sevral times thru out the 7-8 months that he had my money and I waited. The issue was I was continually told 2 week 2 more weeks 2 more weeks after this became the standard answer that you received you begin to lose faith and trust. I told Troy I would still do business with him in the future but he will have to show me a product before I will send him money it's not a personal issue. TeamRamRod I'm not sure why you feel you need to speak on a issue that you know nothing about. How about you buy something from me that only I sell and I tell you I will have it at your door in two weeks then 7-8 months later I still tell you it will be 2 more weeks I hope you can comprehend that let down. Please go post in another thread and stay out of this one. BanginGmc fuck off as you have no reason to be in here no one is bitching like infants only you swinging from another vendors nuts if you don't like the post in this thread stay out of it. As far as building my own bracket I did 4 hours later I had the plans and on my next day off I will cut the bracket I just wanted Troy's bracket because it is a nice looking well built bracket .
