  1. IMO the most obvious reason a thread like this won't really work is because, as Ryan mention, it's not very difficult for someone to change their IP or screen name and do the same, and there is already a feedback section to air out dirty laundry. If someone is not concerned enough about a transaction to search for a screen name and locate a bad feedback thread, a blacklist isn't going to help much either. Not to mention 9.9 out of 10 times once someone is "caught" as a scammer or has bad feedback left for them, they won't trade under that same name again. So it's going to be filled with a list of names of people who aren't trading under that name anymore anyways. As Aaron mentioned, the amount of scammers here is extremely low due to the nature of the forum atmosphere and general positive attitude of the user base. There are other forums where it seems there is a large percentage of transactions which have some sort of problem. However, it can happen to anyone on any forum and unfortunately there isn't a lot that can be done to stop it. There is a long list of people who have had dozens of positive transactions, only to end up leaving a bunch of people with empty wallets and no product. It happens. It sucks. There's not much, on a forum basis, that can be done to stop it. The mods aren't police. We're janitors. We don't have the capabilities or the information to stop scammers or help those who were scammed, and a "black list" isn't going to stop scammers. With all of ebay's supposed precautions, they still have scammers. The point is, in online transactions bad things are going to periodically happen. Be thankful it happens as infrequently as it does on this site. For those that have been scammed, it's unfortunate.

hey guys.. sorry for the late update.. was really busy! but now i finally have time and just wanted to post some pics of it and Rick thanks for the help! that actually would be reallly awesome if you could do that! but the only problem is i dont think its going to fit.. i have very limited space i mean i only have like 4.0 cu ft to work with what are the specs on ur box? and yea videos will come as soon as i get this installed in the crappy box that i have rite now!!
  3. With all the scammers we have seen, what are your thughts about having a "Black List"? Where by, once found guilty their user name and possible some info about them (which would not get anyone into trouble with the law) be posted in a dedicated thread. 1. Black list - guilty 2. Shady list (pending Black list) - very shady behaviour, which could lead to induction to the black list. Of course, there should be some provisions for members to clear their name from the list if it was a mistake or for a reason beyond their control, and only a mod can add or remove a name to the list. Yes I know it can be a lot of work for the mods What do you think?
  4. When I want to shove 4 XCON 15's into a tiny little Civic EK hatch... Wait wut?
  5. I vote to get some acoustastuff or polyfill, but only put in a little now and then wait until they really settle in and adjust from there. I put in 150 ozs for now. If that is to much I can take it out. As of right now the sound is very tight and solid sounding. So later today on my way to work I will have more listening time. Ok great. Once they settle in, they can be extremely smooth at normal listening levels. What is normal listening levels? So far the 2 people who saw this think normal levels are where you can hardly breath and see. I can not even imagine how it will be once they loosen up. These subs are beasts! I can't imagine what the ZCONS would do.
  6. Voltage with truck idling. Plugged intothe battery tender.
  7. Final load on the amp. Key off voltage.
  8. I added 150oz of polyfill from walmart.
  9. To answer your question, the lows are beneath the highs. If you know your not giving a lot of details, why post? Seriously, You need to provide a little bit more to help you. 1. How big is your current enclosure? 2. What is your current enclosure tuned to? 3. What vehicle is this in? If sedan, is it in trunk, is it sealed off? Also, you do know that you can't really "hear" the lows right? The "lows" only creates sound waves that will "flex" panels in your vehicle for lesser terms of ways to describe it. If you would like more of the lower end, then yes, I would suggest you tuner lower.
  10. Tap into the "white/red" wire on the back of the factory unit, it's the switched 12v+ for the unit. http://www.modifiedlife.com/2000-honda-accord-car-stereo-wiring-diagram/ Wiring Diagram.
  11. In general it's not a great idea to replace a speaker on a passive crossover with a different speaker. It would appear you atleast have the crossover frequency and slope for the passives, which help some. But if the crossover network also includes a zobel network or anything extra, then it would hamper the results some. Though I'm not sure what the "6/12db" means for the slope. Not sure if that means 6db for the mid & 12db for the tweeter? Either way 2900hz on a shallow slope isn't a great idea in an automobile. IMO a better decision would be to purchase an entire new component set. What is your actual dollar amount budget? Do you have any space constrictions to deal with?
  12. Officialy halfway there. 28 lbs down! Feelin good. My 90 day goal was 30 lbs. I have one week left.

  17. Not true at all .... Magnet slugs are imported from overseas. SSA is proudly built in USA as are the Sundown sub woofers. Both great USA Based companies.

I also hate when people are just hanging around to socialize and taking forever to finish their sets . I like to go in and go out . Handle my business straight hardcore balls to walls 1 hour session then go home and do whatever . If I want to socialize I'll go to a bar or club .
  19. Too bad the charts are completely wrong. They are calculated assuming that the entire diameter of the sub is usable cone area when that isn't nearly the case. They don't even really give a ballpark comparison between sub sizes either since a 1" wide surround on an 8 will have a much greater effect on Sd than a 1" surround on a 12.
