Speakers don't fit?
2 pointsJust an FYI, this is seriously car audio 101. Considering your attitude a wee bit of searching might be in order and would net you better responses. The only douche in the thread is the one copping an attitude to rudimentary replies. As a reminder, you agreed to search before posting a thread on this forum. Perhaps you should keep your promise. It would definitely make your threads more useful not only to you but to others who end up searching and reading them.2 points

Gcon 12 vs Sa 12
2 pointsI'm very surprised no one mentioned the power handling differences. The SA uses a 2.5" coil, while the GCON uses a 3" coil. That alone should seal up any doubts as to which sub you want.2 points

12" Xcon
1 pointI see no problem with your spider joint; the chips in the magnet are purely cosmetic, they probably happened during shipping. Your dust cap is loose1 point

1 pointSorry, but the older guy is trying too hard to down play the Lamborghini. It has to be the most superior car he has driven, if not top 3. He just comes off like a hipster, when they degrade something amazing as if they are too cool for it. Yup. If they would have simply said that they wouldn't take it even if they had the money because it's not their style it would have been much better. But they did get a little snobby with it, and that ruined their credibility to me. Saying the only thing good about it is down shifting to hear high RPMs was sad. He even admitted the AND was amazing.. but it had too many gizmos. I am a Lamborghini guy though. For classics I am less rat rod and more mod street over the top power kind of guy. I would like to see a deuce coope with some over built turbo powered something. Considering my love of the flamboyant and over the top power it amazes me that I am so stirred when I drive a P car.1 point- Need help/advice on box
1 pointThanks should be building the boxes and amps rack this weekend. I'll post pictures of the build as I get things done. Thanks for all your help guys.1 point- Welcome to the IHoP

1 pointAre we talking The Rock's "Rock Bottom" slam, or Kane's "Choke Slam" slam? I just want to make sure we're on the same page here.1 point- Batteries or another alt problem?
Batteries can still show good resting voltage and not be worth a poop. I just went through this with my kinetiks.1 point- BC 1100.4 PROBLEM FED UP
1 pointA bunch of our TeamSSAudio guys are running Crescendo amps and are very happy.1 point- Gcon 12 vs Sa 12
1 pointAfter you place the order with SSA your driver is hand built by a smaller sized operation in Las Vegas, NV. Sundown's SA series are built in more mass quantities at a large buildhouse in China, so Sundown/dealers have stock on hand.1 point- Gcon 12 vs Sa 12
1 pointWhy do you say this? In the box you describe the Gcon will have a nicer response and be as loud if not louder across the board; however the difference really will be minimal to the ear. My expectations noting where they are built that it is more likely for the Gcon to be more consistent from unit to unit as well. I have no issue with the build quality of the Sundown, but my bias is logical based on manufacturing location. In it's price class the Gcon is a great driver, in particular for the box that you are planning on making. Add to that the hardwork that Aaron and Mark put into making this site available to all and I think it's a no brainer.1 point- SA-12s in Sealed Enclosure
1 pointI had my SA-12's in the recommended 1cu sealed before I switched to the recommended 1.75cu ported and the difference is night and day. I also had a few different amps on them and noticed between 350wrms each and 900wrms each there wasn't a HUGE increase in volume but it was noticable. I would say get a sub that is more suited for a sealed box because you'd be cheating yourself if you didn't port the SA-12's. That's my opinion.1 point - SSA XCON 10" D2
