  1. Have been helping a friend deal with the problem now. We have redone the cooling and every other bandaid. Still just randomly overheats and eats coolant. Look in the valley under the intake. I bet it is full of coolant. It is not open to the crankcase so it will pool in the valley there. That is where they usually leak when the bolts get yanked out of the block. Another common leak point is the crossover on the back of the heads. It is the piece that the water pump is mounted in. It is a motherfucker of a job.
  2. The package of party "supplies" I sent over arrived at the hotel like 30 minutes before me!! Token on beach!!
  3. I trimmed 0.450" off the formers. They cone assembly fits in the baskets perfectly. The coils and spiders are fitted and glued. I am using my 0.500" ABS spacer between the spiders. The bottom spider is mounted top down (flipped) compared to the top spider. I wasnt sure what I was going to do for speaker wires. I was thinking about direct leads. I decided to go with normal connections but now I have to wait for the parts to come. About 7 sheets of paper for shims. Coil/spider assembly.
  4. Got two 10lb hunks of pig on the Egg for pulled pork for lunch. One of my guys graduates today so I told him I'd cook for it. Went on yesterday ~5:30 or so. Smelling good over here.
  5. Well guess what my amps were tuned with a dd-1, and there was no distortion or clipping whatsoever, and the subs were only in the truck for three days. They now rest back in there original boxing.
