Worst shipping/customer service ever!
I work in the car audio industry, and I have to say, Aaron did EXACTLY what he could to rectify the situation. People have been driven by electrical devices for so long that they assume a machine is customer service. The machine says I have 3 dash kits in stock, but I had no way of knowing that last month someone stole one. I apoogize and try to fix it. That's customer service. Human beings make errors. It's life. If you were at McDonald's and they ran out of Sprite, would you hop on the internet and piss and moan about the worst service you've ever had in your life? I think not. Grow up. This just solidifies my faith in a fantastic company with outstanding customer service. You should have thanked Aaron, and moved on. Don't be a dick. My love for car audio dies more and more each day because of a generation of spoiled bastards with no regard with how the real world works. What the hell happened?5 points

Wow. I apoligized for the stocking mix up, offered a quick soluition, and when rejected we refunded your order instantly. But thank you for the nasty post and changing my email wording to make us look bad. Oh, don't forget you're asking to have SSA reward points given back to you as cash. Again, I am sorry there was a stocking mistake, but we tried to instantly correct it and refunded you right away when asked. BUT I WILL NOT sit here and have someone change what I said to hurt my business. You can run and tell your friends that you got great customer service despite the stocking issue. You were not wronged, it was a simple mistake on communication between us and XS Power. We apologized, tried to correct the issue instantly, sumbitted refund asap, and this is how you act. I will gladly warm other vendors of you if I need to.4 points

He makes you think about your posts. Theres a few more people like him! Honestly I think that's how more should be! Can't lie, his posts infuriate me sometimes, but I can't argue the accuracy of them. Mostly irritating because he's usually right though lol2 points

Hey now. I'm Canadian and have never left a rant like this over a simple error. Especially one that was refunded. This is just brutal. Everyone makes mistakes, they offered the closest alternative at a lesser cost. In the end a refund was given. Sounds good to me.2 points

So on march 11th i purchased 20ft of ofc xs flex 0 gauge since thats all what i needed for my install to be completed.. In a coupke days my order status changed to ' awaiting shipment ' nd i patiently waiting until march 24 when it still had the same status.. I emailed support nd they reply telling me that ' we apologize for the mix up, but when you ordered it was in stock but went out of stock so were not able to ship it. Instead would you like the CCA xs power wire and the difference refunded? ' lol... Like are they serious? What kind of bs is that and then offering me to purchase something different rather then what i ordered? Oh well this is my last time ever giving business to this company. Will let all my friends know also. Thank you for wasting time!1 point- FS: DSS Magnetar

1 pointHey you're from Michigan too! Lol But yea check out the pre done box designs Aaron is talking about and if not someone on here can design you one as well. Also don't use the re box calc. Use the Torres one. Type in google "Torres box calc" and it's a download off another forum. It's more accurate.1 point- Worst shipping/customer service ever!
I would leave it up as well... if you run a business then you should never had anything to hide. good or bad Exactly what I think. This is why I like SSA. The good and the bad stays up even though this was not a bad thread or a threat to SSA company lol1 point- Worst shipping/customer service ever!

1 pointBeen talking with sumplikapimp78 for a while now. he stated a interest in joining our team. I asked him to talk to a few members and make sure he gets a good feel for who we are. He says he would love to move forward with this team. He is semi close yob us in Indy and can meet up on occasion at meets and plans in being at the bigger car shows. Making it official, A big welcome to sumplikapimp78 to our family. He is now representing Team IAK with us, proudly!1 point- help with install of crescendo gear
Damn people chill, I didn't know a mod could be that immature. If you are just gonna type a page full of Rofl's then don't post at all.1 point- 2 hcca 15.2
1 pointI haven't done any math at all, but just from previous experience and a little guessing there's no way the enclosure you posted is tuned to 33hz. I would also question if the port would act properly being farther from the rear of the enclosure than it's width but not enough to not completely rule out it's interaction. It's equivalent to having a 4" wide port on the side of an enclosure instead of the center that ended 5" from the back wall. The port will still try to act as though that bend at the back corner was part of the length but it wouldn't be the exact same as being added to the port length because it's wider where it opens into the enclosure. Even if the questionable port length didn't cause an issue I'd be very surprised if the tuning is even close to 33hz AND even if it is I agree with the others on building one custom to your application. You're in good hands with it and seemed to have provided the right information I just wanted to provide you with better details as why not to bother using the design you found.1 point- Sa-15 motor getting hot and surround ripping
There's nothing wrong with using more than rated power on any driver BUT it takes more attention to everything and a good ear to keep from destroying them. Extra power is good for headroom plain and simple. The headroom gets you more power to the driver with less chance of clipping and distortion. Nothing but a good thing as long as you don't overdo it on the volume knob. EDIT: This link "Amplifier Headroom" is a terrific write up on the subject, what it really means and what it can do for you.1 point- help with install of crescendo gear

1 point- Couple of sp4 questions...
1 pointIt took a full year for mine to fully give up on twice rms. That being said, my piss is bigger than yours? lol. It just happens to different people at different times man. lol didn't mean to sound like an ass, but I know exactly what you mean. Lee swift ran his 3 sp4 on 12k, and never had an issue. Then, another iak member in indy beat the living piss out of his 4 18s on 4 m3a's for hours, and no issue. So, idk what to say haha, just shit happens i guess No I know you didn't mean anything...Yeah I see people all over when I go to shows beating the crap out of them but I guess all great companies can have fails from time to time. I just hate it when people say all items made by that company is crap....I am on my 3 set of subs from FI...I had BL 12's and Q 12's before.....Keep moving up to the big boy stuff....lol Same here I've used icon, zcon, and evil only the evil failed, which had the leads that are under suspect and it didn't fail, it was just under my abuse1 point- Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Interestingly he still has the "SSA Store Valued Customer" banner under his username.....LOL Kudos to you Aaron for delivering top notch customer service once again. It's unfortunate that despite your best efforts you still have to deal with bullshit like this from customers.1 point- Worst shipping/customer service ever!
Some customers aren't worth having at the end of the day. If not having your wire upset you then that's just petty. Tell them no thanks on the other wire and ask for a refund simple as that, no need to make a thread showing your ignorance.1 point- Worst shipping/customer service ever!
Obviously has no idea how a business works. SSA is hands down the best business I have dealt with. They will do everything they can to please you.1 point- Lee's Avalanche Build
1 pointI get earfuls of shit for talking about wanting to tune low. But I love me some lows, I'm excited to hear how it turns out! Tuning low for the hell of it vs getting a flat response are two different things. For the hell of it? That's an ignorant assumption No reason to aim for a goal, if there is no goal to begin with... That's completely stupid.1 point- Lee's Avalanche Build
1 pointWell- recieved my radio and install stuff. Got it put in today. All the wires to tuck- dash pieces that had to be dremmel'd out for clearance- In the hole- Installed- Powered up.1 point- PSI Subs
1 pointOk Brother, No need to bust my balls any further. Its aparant that you have an absolute hard on to discredit the name of PSI.I'm cool with that. I was just posting my thoughts on a single driver and not necessarily praising the company. Customer brought me a sub needing an enclosure build and I provided a service to get that customer satisfied. Nothing more. Now we are moving on to the next project. I got paid for my services and bought a case of Budweiser and some food for the BBQ Grille. Done as far as I'm concerned. So I will Leave this one alone since I have absolutely nothing to do with PSI. Now as far as the drivers that I used in my truck, They were built in the early 90s and to this day DOES NOT NEED ANY RECONES. I could reinstall my enclosure / drivers tomorrow, throw a meter on it, and still hit a 137.7 db at 28 htz as usual AND THEN PLAY through the Chesky Records Collection Disc with very accurate music reproduction. I do not mistreat anything I own. I haven't looked to anybody for over 25 years to recone my drivers, So why should I worry about that now ??? wasn't criticizing your install at all. I was criticizing the idea that sourcing inferior replacement parts is preferable over getting the actual parts designed for the subwoofer. i dont have a hard on for shitting on psi but i do think there's value in having loyalty to companies you deal with. I understand you take good care your gear. i would too if I paid that much. But, accidents happen sometimes, screwdriver through the surround or something like that. i guarantee you'll get a recone from blues, not psi, not fi, not anywhere else. Because, it's blues' design and its blues' parts.1 point- Worst shipping/customer service ever!

I understand what you are saying....but this is exactly why i tend to set up my systems where they are very unlikely to get overdriven. I just don't see the need unless you are competing. Admittedly i am just getting into this level of output, but I have always ran subs that had a bit more rating than the power I am feeding them, and have yet to blow an amp- or cook a woofer(except for the IA I just had reconed...and I was over powering it). But it seems self evident when you are feeding a 600w sub almost 1000w and it starts coming apart what the problem is.LOL I mean there are people on youtube feeding these 2kDon't worry about what someone on youtube is doing. That's your first problem. No reason to even reference youtube here. Obviously you're not doing something right as you are tearing the sub apart. Second what is the point for using that extra power on the sub other than increasing your risk of damage to the driver? You are looking at 1-1.5db more output, which is either fully or borderline inaudible in exchange for clearly overdriving the subwoofer. What exactly do you plan to achieve other than damaging the driver ? If output is the goal, that extra power isn't doing a whole hell of a lot of good. All it's doing is tearing the driver apart. Back off the power. Where is the subsonic filter set and how did you set the gain to know that it's "set correctly" ? I'd have to model the enclosures, but if the surround is tearing that's a clear indication of over excursion. So either you are using too much power for that enclosure mechanically, or the SSF isn't set correctly...or both.0 points- stetsom amp fans
