Hdc4 too close to the back wall.
1 pointI'm glad to see your guys concern and wanting to help! I wanna really bed be in the product. All the great reviews I've read online of the hdc3 and 4. And seeing how the 4 is the top of the line, I was expecting to be blown away!! Lol but idk whats going on. You say out side of the frequency, but my amps ssf is set quite high, at least in the 20's and my lpf, is set to the lowest hz, which is 50 on my amp. And that candy shop song is a typical normal hip hop song, no decaf no bass boosted note so I'm sure Amy run of the mill sub should play that song. You say I could send you guys the soft parts, what is that? The whole center piece, if that's the case I should just order a recone since I'll be having to re install it correct? And doesn't the aluminum voice coil handle more power(or was that heat)?1 point

Are the new Wardens ever going to be here?!?!
While I agree there are some things purchasers in preorders have to deal with, such as the ETA being pushed back some due to customs or raw material outages, I think being given an initial ETA and then being told that there is an indefinite time frame for delivery is way outside of acceptable. We only have 1 side of the story right now, so it's tough to say.....but if they are waiting "indefinitely" for the price of Neo to drop back down to where they are happy with the profit margin then that is complete and total bullshit. They ran the preorder knowing the price of raw materials may change, they are liable to honor that preorder with a reasonable time of delivery regardless of whether or not they lose their ass on the deal due to the cost of materials rising. According to the OP it's not that they don't have access to Neo due to a lack of materials....they simply don't want to pay for it because it's too expensive and they'll either not make enough money or lose money. That's not acceptable. Build the subs you agreed and were paid to build. If that means you lose money because you made a bad business decision, then tough shit. Build the fucking subs.1 point

Interesting site...check it out
1 pointThe only person making it an issue is you. The only person bringing it up on a weekly basis is you. The only person posting it in every thread about SSA subwoofers is you. The only person who fails to understand they are not rebadged Fi subwoofers is you. The problem.....is you. Nick's post above demonstrates that they are not copies as the differences he outlined are everything that matters in a subwoofer, and proves you are wrong. That is coming straight from the guy who built them. Now if you could kindly wipe the sand from your vagina and stop bringing it up constantly as you've just been proven wrong, that would be great.1 point

1 pointActually he said outwardly the motors appeared to be similar. That says nothing about similarities within the motor, and frankly he doesn't even give any external measurements of the motor itself to confirm they are anything more than similar in appearance. Also, if you look at the actual measured T/S parameters you can see they are different drivers. The Xcon has a higher Q, lower Fs, lower Le and higher Mms. Plus the Xcon has slightly more linear excursion and I believe higher thermal power handling as well. It is still an Fi copy with a couple alterations. Quoted "Any differences from the Q are probably in the voice coil itself and the gap geometry and possibly the pole piece machining." Coil is different, suspension is different, magnet ID is different, dust cap is different, gap is different, pole piece is different, back plate is different, cooling is different. You can step off of your soap box now. -the guy thats built hundreds of them.1 point

1 pointSince this is becoming an issue, what are the differences? T/S can be slightly altered easily by different cone mass, and other minute soft part changes. Seriously, what is the difference? What's the difference between the VVX and the SA series? Or any other subwoofer that comes from that factory?1 point

Quoted "Any differences from the Q are probably in the voice coil itself and the gap geometry and possibly the pole piece machining." Are the external dimensions of the motor identical? He doesn't say, and I don't honestly know. I'm guessing you don't either. So it appears both you and he are basing that on nothing more than the outward appearance of the motor. Even if the outward dimensions are similar doesn't mean they are identical. T/S parameters show they aren't identical. Thermal power ratings show they aren't identical. The voice coil, gap geometry and pole machining and other features are what matters in the motor, not how similar they look externally. Yes, there is going to be some similarities. That doesn't make them copies. I don't understand why you feel the need to bring this up on a weekly basis? We get it. You think they are copies just because they are built at the same buildhouse, even though they are clearly not identical drivers. Did you do this to Sundown when they were using off the shelf boards? Follow Jacob around and post in every thread about how it's a copy of XYZ? Do you tell Kevin at Skar about how similiar his subs are to Sundown because they are designed by the same person? Or post in every Arc thread about all of the other brands that use their boards? Or is this a special fetish you have for SSA?1 point

You cant survive that truck!
1 pointI havent recieved a warning or pm or anything? All I do is share my videos, I dont troll or anything That is just it, you only come over to spam your D4S logo all over your videos. We do not approve of this type of behavior. You are only here to promote you own site. We don't let anyone else get away with this, and you shouldn't be any exception. If you remove all of your logos etc in your video's we have no problem with you posting them here. I am sure you can understand this, it would be like us coming to your site simply to promote our store or subwoofer line with out paying your vendor fee's etc. Especially since you have now moved up to "competitor" status selling XS Power, I am sure you see where we are coming from. We protect the house we built here.1 point

Super high output SQ oriented front stage
The whole "keep up" is a frickin joke, right? The hardest part of keeping up is ALWAYS the midbass. Let's just pick a target of 150dB and I'll give you an exercise of enlightment. Grab a Peerless SLS 8" in WinISD. Put it in a HUGE enclosure (to simulate IB, since you will use lots of them just put in 100x VAS to make sure). Then apply enough power to have it hit Xmax at 80Hz. Now figure out how many drivers per side and how much power it will take to hit a 150dB. If your overall SPL target is higher then of course use that. Now you'll see the futility. At this point now it comes down to what compromise you want to make. Also realize if you build this front stage and then use its capability expect to have significant hearing damage the first year you own the truck. Once you do that you'll know how to ask a question in a thread that will lead to some useful answers for you.-1 points

Playing with new toys
-1 pointsI had a chance to pick up some 8 in midbass with the cast basket for super cheap cause of a coupon threw parts express, well best decision I've made in a while. So the first day I got them I scrapped my door pods for 2 6.5's per side and modified the factory location to fit an 8in mid. I was blown away with the difference in sound it made. More midbass and depth than the pwx 6.5's. I'll chime back in after they break in. So far they Are running on 50rms per driver high passed at 63hz 12db slope and no lpf until more power is applied. I'm highly pleased as of now. Definitely a great buy.-1 points
