  1. I was concerned that the magnet might hit the bottom of the enclosure. This was a difficult dimension to guessetimate! I was thinking about using 4" coil woofers, I am glad that I didn't because they would not have fit. I had to alter my port. I was going to use a port that was 20x6", now I am using 22x5.5", it fits better. I am also using 1/2" MDF for the port, not 3/4" plywood like the rest of the enclosure. I am almost ready for fiberglass and paint. I have to finish the port and modify the center brace.
  2. After a long stretch of downtime, the products page is back. We will be adding more content shortly to it, but for now, it's a great resource for all your favorite SSA products. Our brand new site has a built in responsive mobile skin, so you can view it on any device. Find product specs, photos, and more on the new products page. http://www.SSAudio.com
  3. I will make an official announcement when production is near done, so please hold off on the flood of questions until then. Attached is a photo of the prototypes (MEANING THEY ARE HOUSE SAMPLE MATERIAL AND NOT THE PRODUCTION COLORS, THINK CAR PROTOTYPES WITH WEIRD PAINT JOBS) I have been testing with our custom heat sink. Loads of surface area so heat is not an issue under normal loads. Starting out with a VERY sturdy mono block and strong 4 channel.
  4. Since this is an informal announcement, they will be mostly gunmetal, with a pinch of black and red.
  5. Checka checka check it out, port is almost ready for paint!
  6. Best one is not a soundbar.
  7. That is what you did. Some of us know things that aren't posted on the internet. Heed your own advice just once and you might get somewhere in life.
  8. no one cares about how awesome you are at everything Eric! God damn show off!!! you do it all and live where things are awesome around you (me aiming at you, although you probably Matrix as well)
  9. Well what I mean is, the page is for SSA products alone.. there's an AMP section which states - coming soon
  10. ??? It works great for me. Awesome new look and great to have the info readily available again.
  11. Haha WOW I just remembered that I posted this years ago and had to update! Well the bad news is that I ended up getting all of the way up to 535 pounds a few years ago...the good news is that I am currently 315 pounds and steadily losing! I hope that everyone is doing well! I truly miss my SSA family!
  12. The port isnt close to being done. I'd explain but you'll have to wait and see! I got SUBS TODAY!!! Woot woot!!!
  13. Thanks for checking out my build log! The stock air intake goes over the top of the stock battery. I am going to use a XS Power S3400 battery and large battery terminals. To get more space I installed a INJEN cold air intake. I had to retrofit this to my car. Stock INJEN installed
  14. Look at this for sale thread, you could get 3 nice tweeters for 100 bucks. That way you will have a spare in case one blows while learning the active process.
