  1. The original dustcap was sexy, I wish I could still get my hands on one.

    Enclosure design comes first.
  3. Sounds like your box is the issue, not the woofer.
  4. That kind of setup is a small penis.Music is for personal enjoyment, it's cool to be loud, but it's still important to be courteous of others
  5. I'm gonna clean the hell out of it when I get around to ordering a new gasket. Also, are recones as simple as they seem? I get the concept, but I'm not sure how much room for error there is. I want to snag a pink dust cap cone when I replace my current, my surround is horribly scuffed from my wreck. Motor is fine thankfully. Think I'm going to have the basket repainted something funky too, something like the Sig Sauer rainbow finish. That's not paint.....I'm not an idiot, that's why I said 'something like' It's treated. I'm not sure what the finish is called.

  7. This Otherwise you might just have a particularly bad case of the bass bug lol
  8. Does plexiglass or lexan color the sound at all, if you were to do an all plexi/lexan enclosure? Fuck the price tag, but just curious if it's a simple as make the box solid and sealed and you're good to go.
  9. Happy birfday Thanks for learnin' us youngins!
  10. for example, if two people are speaking to you at the exact same time, would it improve your ability to understand them? Nah, it'd sound fucking weird.find one capable driver, not two lackluster drivers.
  11. That is only because there is more stupidity in SPL geared installs. Not bass induced incoherency?
  12. I thought this was a joke til a can of wipes fell off my dad's tool shelf and hit me in the face this morning.

I heard an HD3 15 trunk walled in a lancer, and for a fifteen in 4.5 @ 33hz, on 1500w it rolled off high as hell, the low lows just weren't there. The higher notes were forceful, but the lowest notes just went missing.
  14. Double post
  15. Lol
  16. How involved are you willing to get? There are two kinds of answers you'll get here, but that's the determining factor. Willingness to learn, and to practice.
  17. This was lost on me, can you clarify...Google law of diminishing returns. Then re-ask Well I know the concept of diminishing return lol Are you just saying that it's not beneficial to cram it into a casing with an amp as far as, it isn't enough benefit to outweigh the costs of redesign and production?
  18. I think see multiples more in SPL geared installs, where sheer volume is concerned. Accuracy is already out the window at that level, lol.
  19. I always wanted twin BTL twelves, perfect sleeper system. "what's that fi garbage bro? haha I got two BOSS 12's that will beat those!" Then feed them 5k to the dome
  20. This was lost on me, can you clarify...
