Fi is more likely unknown since it's not in Crutchfield whereas JL is in Crutchfield and more widely known.

BL ported will still be louder imo! All install dependent though!

The BL hands down will be louder. What series of MTX pre-fab subwoofers.

When comparing an Fi BL in a properly tuned enclosure to a MTX pre fab sealed enclosure is really not fair at all! The BL will be considerably louder to the ear! What amplifier?

With your musical preferences and style of vehicle I would tune in the 30-32 hz range.

You actually fuse the power wire for it's current capability. OFC 1/0 gauge up to 300 amps and CCA up to 250 amps.

Along with supporting the SSA Store. Just my .02! A lot of options out there, but without a budget really hard to recommend anything.
In a sence that is a good thing. Not all customers are going to run muliple battery setups on a .5 ohm load or run a +14.4 system. I like the compact size and more power at 1 ohm!
I have a DCON 10" and it really comes to life in a ported enclosure imo. You will be amazed at the output and accuracy of this driver!
