Dammit, I forgot to fast ring my doors.

nice work brother !!! I am digging those tweeter locations !!!

Those fast rings made a definite improvement. Less music is getting lost in the door panel and it reduced some of my panel vibration, now I just need to attack the window and lock switches as they rattle too.

I am tuned in for your thoughts on this DSP. I’ve heard nothing but good things about them.

Love these Mechman fuse holders from the SSA Store, they very inexpensive but definitely high quality with some weight too them. And here I was about to buy some $30 Rockford Fosgate fuse holders. I havent installed them yet but I love them already. :drink40:

Debadged the back of the vehicle, I still need to find something to cover up the 2 small holes from "H" emblem. Cleaned all that residue off with some compound. Looks much better to me. Panoramic Roof is getting a clear ceramic tint on it Saturday. The rest of the car will get regular ceramic tint. This is the longest Ive ever owned a car without getting it tinted.

Will do on the build log. Not changing radio, gonna use the stock Nav unit and going with some Hybrid components up front, some 10" Pioneer subs, Arc Audio 600.4 and 1000.1 amps, LC7i and Dayton DSP for now.

Sounds like you have it all planned out. I always wanted to try some Hybrid components and Arc amps, nice combo for sure.

After all the wiring harnesses and $150 dash kit, I should of stayed the factory radio route.

Decided not to mount my sub amp to the enclosure and used a method from my first car I ever posted on here. Thanks to Home Depot for the shelf boards, which I am using to mount my amp. This is temporary till I get my big boy amplifier. Excuse the rat nest of wiring that is getting worked on some as we speak.

Gotta love taking work in progress pics when working on the wiring...  Looks so messy, but we understand it's not how the final product will look.

Keep plugging away.  And love the shelf.

Yes sir. Only thing wired up is the sub amp, still waiting on front stage amp to clean everything up.

My previous box builder showed me what vibration pads that he uses. Upgrading amp mounts on board later on, these are Neoprene inner core with a rubber top and bottom, 2" x 2" and 1"thick. Got them at Grainger for $12 for all 4.

The US Acoustics Mike was sold and in search of a new sub amp for the Sp4, Im looking at either: Rockford Fosgate T2500-1bdCP, DD M3c or Ampere Audio 3800.1. Kinda wish SSA had a 3.5kw or 4kw amplifier coming out, Hint Hint @Aaron Clinton.

But I did finally buy me a front stage amplifier and can't wait for it to get here. Also purchased a new DMM from Amazon too.

This is one beautiful yet heavy amplifier for its size. Ill see if I can get it installed today during my lunch break.

Halfway installed, still have the power and ground wires to install for both the Amp and DSP. I also need to add some more wire tie downs and she will be complete. I also need to figure something out with the RCAs so they arent hanging over the DSP like that. Most labels have been removed since everything is hooked up now.

Really nice build Jcarter! That dayton dsp looks so good; is there anything you'd nitpick about it? Just asking because I was originally considering it and now even more for its parametric eq.

For the RCAs, maybe use those cable ties fastened above and below the connectors to have the cables hover over the top of the connectors??

I love the DSP but as a beginner to them its hard for me to give an in-depth review. For going active it's way easier and better than trying to use an amplifiers crossovers like I've down in the past. The Dayton does everything I need it to do and then some, there's still some features that I haven't used because Im still learning and researching. But for the money its a great device and simple to use. I was also looking at the JL TWK or Helix DSPs but decided to try to cheaper unit after researching them just to get my feet wet. If I ever upgraded it would be either of the units I mentioned above. But for now Im completely satisfied with no complaints.

I took the tape and wire plastic wire loom off of the RCAs going to the 4 channel amp and ran them under the RCA connections. Looks way better just need to put cable ties on each end for aesthetics.
