February 21, 20205 yr I agree, processing is so much simpler and more accurate than amp crossovers. If you haven’t tuned the dsp yet though, you’ll be blown away once you do. I only started tuning myself but there’s this guy kyles YouTube series of vids that really helped me out - He goes over the most basic fundamentals I feel like And using a Dayton imm-6 and AudioTools app for my phone I was able to get some great results. cables look good
February 21, 20205 yr Author SSA front stage amplifer is fully installed, here are a few updated pictures.

February 27, 20205 yr Author I usually use a bolt that mounts my seats to the vehicle but decided to drill my own hole for my ground wire on my secondary battery in my trunk. Removed paint and primer to get that bare metal connection, used lock washers as well to keep it from vibrating loose. Sprayed black spray paint to cover up the bare metal and it will get covered with sound deadner in the future.
March 26, 20205 yr Author Im upgrading the rear door speakers so I needed some speaker rings made. Didnt feel like waiting on hdpe board to get here since thats what my front door speaker rings are made of. Found some wood at work and used a co-workers jigsaw to make these, also covered with paint to match the door panel.
March 31, 20205 yr Author Filled the back door with some Silver Flutes 6.5s just for the time being as Im working on my front doors, either a pair of 6.5s or a pair of 8s or a single 8. Either way the front doors will be getting glassed. Edited March 31, 20205 yr by jcarter1885
March 31, 20205 yr Author Ground wire is complete, covered in wire loom and two layers of electrical tape for protection. I also zip tied to keep the tape from unsticking together from the engine heat and Texas heat.

April 4, 20205 yr Author Ran out of wire loom so I couldnt finish the battery to alternator positive run. I may switch out both db link fuse blocks under the hood for a dual fuse block for cleaner look.
April 5, 20205 yr Author Decided against using the amp board and just mounting my amp straight to box, I have vibration dampers that will go underneath the amp's feet. View of Front Stage Amp and DSP from trunk opening. Edited April 11, 20205 yr by jcarter1885
April 18, 20205 yr Author Slow process for the weekend, the whole dash has to come apart and I still have to rewire speakers from the factory wire to the new wire I ran awhile back. Once that is done I have to break out the laptop and fire the DSP (digital sound processor) up so I can tune my speakers. Edited April 18, 20205 yr by jcarter1885
April 18, 20205 yr Author Tapped into the factory wiring since the molex plug connectors were hard to get to. Driver side looks the same just with Blue and Red wires.
April 20, 20205 yr Author Crutchfield.com are the real MVPs, probably was on the phone with these guys for 4 or 5 hours yesterday finishing up this radio install. Tapping into wires on factory harnesses by peeling the skin/insulation off to expose the bare copper just to wrap a wire around it, I had to do this 3 times (very tedious). Wires were taped together and ziptied so this Texas heat wont unstick the tape. But the radio is finally wired, just need to put the dash back together.
April 26, 20205 yr Author New dedicated radio ground than just relying on the wiring harness. I do this in every vehicle I install an aftermarket h/u in. Edited April 26, 20205 yr by jcarter1885
May 1, 20205 yr Author Almost every bulb in my car is a LED besides the license plate lights, trunk light and the vanity lights. Changed the license plate light and waiting on other lights to get here. This helped with back-up camera during reverse at night. Edited May 1, 20205 yr by jcarter1885

I actually went back yesterday and got the front two windows 5% just like the back windows. Literally just finished up the radio install 30 minutes ago. Buttoning that up as well, pictures to commence once done. Edited May 3, 20205 yr by jcarter1885
May 2, 20205 yr Author All done for now. Its getting too hot outside to turn the DSP on an tune the speakers will do all that later on tonight but she is working. Amp DSP both have green light action.
May 2, 20205 yr Author The picture is pretty clear without any adjustments, excuse the glare in the images.
May 2, 20205 yr Author Some light weight tuning with basic crossovers just to get some sound in the car for now, didnt feel like tinkering with it all night. SB Acoustics Tweeters 2000Hz @ 24db SSA Evil Mids 70-2000Hz @ 24db on SSA IC150.4 Amp. Fi Sp4 25-60Hz @ 24db no sub amp yet. Edited May 3, 20205 yr by jcarter1885
