It is not always better to have the subs and ports firing into the cabin. If you face them backwards you get a loading factor, much like putting your home theater sub in a corner. The sound waves really only have one direction to travel, and that's bouncing off of the back of the trunk and into the cabin. If you face the subs forward without sealing off the trunk, you'll have some waves that want to go backwards, back into the trunk, and cause cancellation and things. Your absolute best bet would probably be to face them forward and seal off the trunk behind the front baffle. However this takes some work that some people don't want to do. If you just want a drop-in install that will work just fine, fire both port and subs backwards and rest the box so it's about 6-10" from the back of the trunk. Are you meaning like physically cut a hole into your back seats? I wouldn't do that. People usually have good results cutting extra holes in the back deck though, to allow more sound through. You may have to build both a sealed and ported box to decide which you prefer. Don't worry about using the term SQ.

First timers! we all were there once! lets see if i can help you out some! correct you need to wire the sub to a 1ohm load and yes only use A or B not both! and to wire the sub to 1ohm put all the pos together and all the negatives together! on your h/u turn the volume to 3/4 turn the bass boost stuff OFF and sure put the sublevel on 15! now DISCONNECT the sub from the amp Hook the dmm up to one of the terminals (a or b) Set the dmm to AC voltage (a/c has a ~ line ontop of the V ) set the gain on 0 (all the way left i believe) phase 0 subsonic set it to whatever your box is tuned to (if you box is tuned to 25hz set the knob straight up) LPF turn that to 80hz bass boost 0 NOW insert the 50hz press play watch your dmm a/c voltage increase as you turn the gain up once you hit the desired number (31.6) stop the test plug the sub in and go from there!!!! as for the RCA it doesn't matter b/c this is a MONO amp so you can put either red or white in either hole! i hope that helps and good luck! and take some pics also! No. The BTLs will be louder than the BLs with any power. The RMS of the BTL is 2000. RMS is not a minimum requirement, in fact it's quite the opposite.

The Xcon combo ? wow!!! That's a great deal if you want the Best!!! I've heared the 15 Xcon on "just" 1200 watts, and now I know which sub I will buy next : an Xcon for sure !!!!!!!!!!!!! I love my 15 Icon on the sundown saz 1000, so, I will keep it with joy until I can afford the Xcon or the combo.
