    XS XP2000 vs 2 X XP950

So Im looking to add another battery to my truck as Im wanting to have no electrical issues. I have a 2003 Dodge Dakota crew cab with 4.7L V8 and will be recieving and installing my Singer 250 amp alt in about 2 weeks. I have a XS power D2700 in the front and a positive and neg run of Knu OFC 0 guage to back. My problem is I want to put a new battery under my false floor and only have like 6-6.25" max of height and about 16" depth by 16 width approx. I was going to get a XP2000 but even on its side I dont have the height, my question is: will running two XP950's be much less power than an XP2000? I know on paper its not much. Also will this be adequate for a Crescendo BC2000d at one ohm and a 300- 500rms approx 4 channel to maintain 13+ volts?
  6. So im finally ordering my dream system for my 2003 Dodge Dakota Crew Cab, Its gonna consist of 2 15" d1 SSA Icons in a box approx 8cubic feet tuned around 28hz (will be getting someone on the forum to design it. a Crescendo BC2000D, and a Kicker KX600.4 for my Hertz Hsk components, I know I need some upgraded electrical, so far Big 3 Is done in 0 guage. My truck can fit a group 27 battery but not 31 will the D2700 be adequate? alternator is stock 136 amp. Might end up getting Singer 250a but budget isnt quite ready to fork out that kinda cash. Basically I will be running around 2000 rms after rise and having speakers at 4 ohm. Is this way underkill or will it maybe be enough for now? It will be my DD with occasional demo and cranking it occasionally. Will be ordering this from SSA Tomorrow if I get some good answers. Thanks
  7. I have a 1999 Buick Park Avenue and am getting ready to purchase the things that I am still missing in my setup. My main concern is my Audiobahn 2300hct powering my 2 12" JL W7's at 1ohm. I have a yellow top for the trunk and a capacitor as well, here is where I'm lost as I've never used an extra battery or a cap before. The AB has 4x40 fuses, and I also plan to buy a 4 channel amp that does 75x4 rms {not sure on model yet}. My first question is how many fuses should I run throughout setup? Currently I have a 200amp ANL fuse, should I run this 18" from the battery {front duralast, or trunk yellow top}, or should I run a 200amp ANL at each battery? I Also plan on purchasing a distribution block, should this be fused? If so how big of a fuse for the AB output, how big for the 4 channel output? Should the capacitor be fused also? Should I upgrade the big 3 to 1/0 gauged as well? The wire I am looking to buy is http://www.wireandsupply.com/product_p/sgx-1-fslash-0-fslash-01.htm , will this do or should I step up to http://www.wireandsupply.com/product_p/sgx-2-fslash-0-fslash-01.htm ? I am sorry for the lengthy post but I am really confused, even more confused than you after reading this frantic post. Thanks again for the help everyone. Purchase List High output Alt- Is 200amp enough or should I go bigger? Power/Ground Wire Fuses Wire Connectors Distribution Block
  8. I was just wondering if 4 of these batteries will be good for a car audio system. 2,000 watts RMS? This is the only best battery that I can fine in my own town. I can't get XS Power or anything like that. They do sell Kinetik at this one place but they are marked up 50% higher then SonicElectronix & I don't want to mail order any car batteries. There Shuriken batteries at another store too. there marked up high like the Kinetik. I like to buy them in store, If anything gose wrong with them. I can just drive to the store & return it.
