Also which sub would be best to get for an overall better sub? The fully loaded BTL18 or the RE MX18? the mx looks mean but both seem like good subs.

If you're just listening daily, the cooling option is fine. You probably won't hear that much of a difference with the machining.

The BTL will be infinitely louder than the MX, no doubt about that. Whether it sounds good enough to you or not is a judgement call you'll have to make.
