Tacoma blow through

Recommended Posts

Well where to begin? About 3 months ago my friend nick decided to get a blow through installed in his '98 tacoma reg cab. The aaudio shop he went to installed 2 memphis 12's not the mojo but the next step down. His box is each sub in a 1.2 cube firing at each other into a 3.5-4 cube space. With a port that extends out from there into the cab. Needless to say it sounds and his like @$$. Well, you guys have any ideas how to make it better both sq and spl wise, and no a match and gas isnt an option. :D

Any ways I was thinking one 12" or 15" in 3-3.5 cubes ported. with the sub and the port facing forward to go through into the cab. How does that sound? We are starting on the project as soon as he can make up his mind on subs. One last question...Would his current setupbe consitered a bandpass???

for starters, try building a regular ported box with the drivers and port firing on the same plane. from your description, it does sound like the box is a 4th order bp.
