Rattling in the inside of my car

Recommended Posts

I have a 2017 Chrysler 200 and I have had it for a couple of months now. Before I had a 2012 ford fusion SEL but I just had one sub and not as big as a setup in my veichle and it never rattled before for me. I got into a really bad accident somebody hit me going 65 mph and I was crippled and couldn't walk for a while so that car got totalled, but this is my new one the Chrysler 200 limited and I got a new set of subs and amp too. Some bigger stuff bigger amp 2 subs now but theres some rattling in the inside like where say you'd put some Sunglasses in, in a compartment that's on the top of the car roof area and the lights in the middle of the windshield that area. Otherwise nothing else rattles. No where. No trunk nothing. And it's really bad. Gets pretty annoying. I'm really not sure what to do or put there. Cause if I hold it or push on it and hold it down with my hand it's good and it stops so yeah I dont really know. Never had that before.

You have to decouple the items from the vibrations.  This can be achieved with special matting, felt strips, even a simple adjustment of a latch mechanism.  You're going to have to spend some time here as well as trial and error.  Good luck!
