The HDS200 series is a revised version of our SDC2.5. The major differences you will see is the switch from a cast basket to stamped, and the addition of push connectors instead of the direct leads. These woofers also have an added cooling option to the backplate, which the SDC2.5 was lacking. With these changes we were able to drop the prices for you all. The HDS200 series is a great woofer for those not looking to upgrade their charging system but still want to rattle their car. At 600W RMS with a 2.5" coil they are capable of fitting in smaller enclosures for placement with stock installs and everyday street beat. We do suggest putting these, along with all of our woo…

New Amplifier Line Up! Posted by SoundQubed on 2/5/2015 to Product News That's right the rumors are true! We have discontinued the Q1-3500D.1! Don't fear, we have replaced it with a bigger badder model that we aptly named the Q1-4500D.1. This amplifier utilizes the Q1-3500 casing and features the new SOUNDQUBED laser etched logo on the heat sink. The Q1-4500D.1 is on back order and are slated to be in mid April. If you would like to purchase one at the pre sale price you may do so HERE. Once the amps arrive the price will adjust to $839.00 shipped. The New Q1-4500D.1 does 4560W @14.4v at 1 Ohm. (1% THD) We have also upgraded the Q1-2200D.1 to the new version the Q1-22…

Here is my input on what I have found to be optimum in sound and overall performance (SPL) for both the HDC3 and HDC4. Now there are several versions of both of these subs and I have tested countless hours with both. This is my recommendation, it isn't intended to be the end all BEST but will get you really damn close All recommendations are with alum coil D1 subs. Single sub setup, simply multiply for multi sub setups, works great in my testing. HDC3 old version (Old Style basket) Stiff suspension 1k input power HDC310 - 2.0 cube net with 18 sq inch port area per cube - tune between 36-41 hz HDC312 - 3.0 cube net with 18 sq inch port area per cube - tune betwe…

Hey everyone, this thread is me clearing up a few questions I have about HDC3's and HDC4's. These are the two subs in question. (so it's easy to reference ) HDC3: http://www.soundqubed.com/HDC3118-Copper-Coil-Subwoofer_p_25.html HDC4: http://www.soundqubed.com/HDC418-D1-A-_p_137.html We are talking about 18" only Whats the story behind the high Fs of the HDC'4? Was this a non broken in woofer or something? The suspension is that stiff? (equivalent HDC3 is 9hrz lower IIRC) Between the HDC3's copper coil & the HDC4's aluminum …

Sup SQ Forum, So the problem: I re-tuned my amp with my knob and for some reason now on certain songs, I can turn the knob all the way up to the max without the clipping light coming on. (Didn't happen before) Before: I had my 750.1 and HDS212 hooked up, tuned the amp with a youtube video on my phone with a 40hz note (Gain) and 100hz note (LPF) using my knob's (Set to half way) clipping light to set everything. Never had the problem Now: Same 750.1 but now hooked up my new HDS312. Also, this time I downloaded and used a cd with a 40hz note and 100hz note. Same way, Bass Knob set to halfway and adjusted everything until the clipping light came on. But now I can turn…

Ok so I made a few boxes for my hdc4 and it sounded good except on a particular note. I believe it was a higher frequency seeing as how I still hit the lows and moved air fine. If you listen to "candy shop by 50 cent. It's that bass note through out the song. My sub makes noises like a knocking noise. I can hear in the port and I can hear it when I listen to the sub. Any ways I thought it was the tuning so I made quite a few boxes but had same results or less noticeable, but still there results. I'd listen to it free air and it sounded fine. I even switched the subs to a different brand and it didn't make that noise. So I was assuming it was the speaker. But th…

Hey everyone, new on this forum but not really new to car audio, I have a question regarding soundqubed's amplifiers. I am stuck between getting a 2200 and the 3500. But I have heard rumors that the 2200 has problems, shares parts with the hifonix brand things like that. The 3500 has its downsides too though such as requiring very stiff voltage, and being that much more of a bummer if I lose it to vibration, moisture, life kinda things. Should I save up for the 3500? Or buy the 2200 and strap them in the future if I want more powe. Thank you for your input

Hi, I bought 2 soundqubed hdc3 15" for a friend recently on the SSA store, and he already blew one. He uses a Taramps 8K on them ! Is it possible to order a recone kit on SSA, or do I need o go on Soundqubed website ? I can't even find the price for this kit. But I saw the HDC4 recone price, so it must be cheaper ! In case I need to order through Soundqubed, I hope they answer emails, because, I don't want to call them : my english may not be good enough, and my telephoen bill will jump too much with a super long distance call like that (to a foreign country) ! Waiting for some ideas. Thanks guys.

so i have 00 s10 ext cab xtreme and got two 10" sq hds200 d2 with ported box and mtx 1501d amp but maybe since its been a week with these subs not broke in but still yet I dont think this will be enough bass for me, So im thinking of redoing everything maybe do 2-15" hdc3 with sq 4500 amplifier with custom built box. When I do the box has anyone had experience with the best ported box design? round ports, slot and also subs up or face foward and port location. Im just want down right beat me up bass and when I turn it up I know that it will impress others for sure.

Okay guys, I thought I'd share my most recent build with yall. I work until 5:00 P.M. so please excuse the low light pictures. Most of the work was done at night. Ask me questions so I can make this a more complete build log! I wanted to put this here for SoundQubed, but if a mod thinks it needs to be moved to the build log section, then feel free to move it. Equipment: Two HDS215s, JBL GTO 1400.1 amplifier (1500w RMS @ 2 ohms), XS Power D3100 battery, Alpine CDE-123 head unit, Sky high 10ga wire for subs and 1/0 for power and ground. Stock alternator, and I still haven't done the big 3... I need to get around to that.. But my light dimming isn't too bad with this batte…

Hey folks. I've been considering this amplifier for a friend as the first step up to a decent amplifier, but I'm curious to know if anyone has any experience with these being used at 1/2 ohm and if they're stable that low. I can wire the drivers for 2 ohms, but I'd rather go lower if the amplifier can cope with it, even though something tells me we're going to have charging system issues well before any amplifier over-current scenarios. Thanks in advance!

I cannot find anything about what size enclosure the HDS315 loves to eat up, i was thinking something in the 3-5 cube range? 32-37hz? Help please i feel enclosure recommendations is something SoundQubed should look into putting on the website considering all the love they have been getting from the community and all the people i have seen asking the same question on other forums.

HDS208 - The Baddest 8" woofer you'll ever encounter (Pricing and Availability to be announced)The HDS208, your cost efficient 8" woofer designed with familiar SoundQubed reliability and performance. Our HDS200 subs have been very successful and have became the blueprint for the HDS208 design. This woofer is a beast at 600W RMS, a cast frame, 2.5" copper coil and back plate venting to coil it in the tightest situations. The high efficiency starts with a strong 2.5" voice coil powered by a motor structure patterned after the energy model of the HDS2.5 structure. We like subs that can pound with authority and the HDS's play just like their bigger brothers. High temperature…

Hey guys, I am needing some direction or reassurance in what I'm doing with my port. This is my first time working with an 18" sub and with SoundQubed equipment. According to soundqubed.com, the HDC3 18" wants a box anywhere from 5-6 cubes with a vent of 96sq" x 18" long. To me, that port seems odd. So I just got done designing my box. External dimensions are 25" x 25" x 26" but I'm using double sheets of .75 MDF, so each measurement take off 3". I calculate internal space at 22" x 22" x 23" = 11,132 inches = 6.44 cubes. Rough internal space after ONLY sub displacements is 6.4ish cubes. My desired tuning frequency is 31-32hz, because the fs of this sub is 31hz. So, I …

I'm looking at purchasing a couple HDS212D2's, but I'm attempting to plan out the build as much as possible before actually getting started. I see that the recommendations for box size per 12" woofer is around 2 cubes, with a 32"sq port (equating to 2"x16" slot size) at 21" long. This equates to a 40hz tune, which if recommended, so be it. However! Looking at the port velocity at this size, I see that the velocity spikes to over 70 at 38hz, and the driver over-extends before hitting 28-30hz. SQ doesn't recommend a smaller port cross section than 32"sq due to chuffing, but I see that a 16"sq by 27" long slot port will give a 25hz tune and the same air velocity, with t…
