Hey guys, I've been looking to upgrade and today in my area a guy put up a hifonics HFi 2500d for sale for $200. His engine went out and needs money. Wanted to see if anyone knows much about hifonics HFi series amps or hifonics in general. It seems like a good deal and he sent pics and it's mint condition, looks untouched. Let me know! Looking to buy it today if you guys think it's fine? True power?

Friend wants to know and idk the answer lol. He wants a kinetik battery and found one on craigslist. Kinetik 2000 for $130. We are debating whether he should buy it or not. I guess the thing to check is it's voltage? Have you guys experienced buying used batteries?

I am just curious I have been digging and come up with nothing. I know its not really good to underpower subs..... lets say on the highs and mids the amps tuned according to desired but the powers not there....... bad?

As with being located in Australia it's not that easy to get a big alternator cause most of the auto sparkys are f*#%wits... I asked him would I be able to run a SK-1500.1 and a SK-85.4 of my car and he said "yeah mate.. You could run them off the stock batt" I face palmed it so I put it to you people.... My car came from factory with a 100 amp alternator and it has I think 2 awg wire to the batt... I've already put an xs power d3400 in Would I be able to run these 2 amps how it is now and if not let me know what mods I need to do so I can have a piece of mind and not constantly worried ill be on low voltage Cheers mate

I have front and trunk batteries in parallel and want to know how to charge them together without taking them out of the car if its possible. I don't want to just hook charger up while everything else is connected and burn out an amp or anything else electrical in the car. But if its safe to do it then that would help instead of going through the whole routine of taking each one out and doing them one at a time.

ok i'm guessing i can buy it for 400$ the 4000watt one. but is it worth it? i mean how many watts am i going to get out of this thing? If i get this i will have to wait and sell my amp before i even get one of my 18's. So is it worth it?

I have a 400 watt class A/B amp running 2 10's right now. When I'm listening to rap music, after an hour or so, the amp shuts down from overheating, even if I don't have the volume up too high. Should I switch to a class D amp or would it not be worth it? I listen mostley to rap, but listen to rock and country too, I like to have acceptable SQ.

I have a 2001 Blazer 4 door 4.3L 2WD and i think my alternator is bad. The things i have nticed are when i have the car at idle and i give it gas to about 3000RPM and let it go, the volts according to the gauge cluster go from 14.16 down to 13 volts and then it jumps back to 14.13-16 on idle. Another thing that i have noticed is i have a 1000watt RMS car audio systm and when i have my music up decently loud. My sub cuts out until i lower the volume a bit. The battery i have unde the hood is a brand new optima yellow top. The one with the light grey casing. I also have the big 3 upgrade using 1/0 tsunami oxygen free compotion power wire. Hello, I have a 2000 Crown Vic Police Interceptor. It has a heavy duty battery and a HO 130 amp alternator. At the moment I have 2 Kenwood 12's (Yes, I know they're not that great, but they get the job done at a cheap price ) with an alpine 500 watt amp. I was happy with this setup until it quit working a couple weeks ago The amp just cut off, and I haven't been able to get it back on (I checked the amp fuses and the in-line fuse). I think the amp is fried, but I'm taking it to get checked out in a couple days. If it is fried, then I'm going to use this as an opportunity to upgrade. I have 2 kicker l7 15's and my amp went into protect mode, i checked allthe wiring and also unplugged my subs and the amp was still in protect mode..Any other way to see if my subs are good or was unpluugging them good enough being that the amp stayed in protect mode?

So my amp outputs 3500watts, but its fuses are only 3X30amp so 90 amps which is what 900 watt rms or something around that???? so whats gonna happen if i set it higher then what the fuses can take. I really want to set them higher since i got the bad boy 18 Fi BL.

I bought an autotek mm 2500.1 quite awhile ago, and have been running it at 2 ohms, and it's been great. Onlinecarstereo.com claims it's stable at 1 ohm, putting out 2500 rms. It's a $150 amp... I'm hella skeptical, because of that, so I came here to see if anyone has an experience with the Mean Machine's running down to that load.

Alright guys so this is my first "big" system. I have 2 soundqubed hdc3 15 d2's in a 10 ish cu ft box tuned to 32 hz. I have 2 soundqubed q1-2200 amps. I plan on strapping them. My mids and highs I got on lock so they're not important. I have a 180 amp ho alt by singer alternators. This is the absolute biggest he could make it. 1 xs d5100r under the hood and 2 xs xp3000's in the back. Nothing is installed yet I'm waiting for all my install accessories. Do you think I have enough batteries and is my alternator sufficient enough to handle 500 amps of max current? I was working on modifying the amp rack over the weekend and decided to put the DMM back on and make sure nothing has moved. hi guys i have a question my box is tune in-between 34-35hz and i have my ssf set to 29hz and no matter where i set my ssf to i can't listen to all my song's. It's like some song's hit to hard where i have to turn down my volume because my sub's would beat to hard for my subs to handle.

Well i have a Panasonic 6900ub and it's supposed to have 4 volts preouts. Head unit is set at 46/62max. But when i hook it up to the sundown amp i have to crank the gain knob pass 3/4 to get it to fully power up the SE sub at 2ohms. It's set with a 60hz test tone with a cheapy sears dmm. (i don't have an o-scope). RCA wires are from knuconcepts. When i measure the rca volts from the end of the RCA i register only 200 milli volt. why am i getting so little volts through my rca cable? RCA cable is One 5 Meter Klarity Kable Blue OFC RCA Cable with Built in Turn On lead. and i have about 5ft of it wrapped up nicely cause it's longer then i need it to be.

There are rumors around the net that the APA4400G Power Guard amp is just a rebaged Mcintosh. Is there any truth to it? The Clarion amp is a big purple amp. Ill see if i can find a link

I was at a local shop today browsing and I see a rf 3sixty .1 says he will take $199 for it. Seems decent as far as price. My plan is for my new Malibu I'm buying everything before I install. 2 sa12's, crescendo bc2000, fosgate t1 components, rf power t400.4..etc those things I have now. I want a clean sounding system that of course hits nice and hard. I have no experience with processors. The components will be in stock locations with no intentions of altering that. Head unit will be changed so no need for the oem integration part of the 3sixty just RCA ins. I assume if I plan to use the 3sixty I'll have to ditch the passive crossovers..correct? Hi my step brother has two phoenix gold octane 10s and a phoenix gold 2 channel amp, and when he has both subs hooked up the amp goes into protect mode but when only one is wired to it it plays fine but when u hook two up again it goes back into protect mode... occasionally it will play with both wired up but only for about 1 min. then it goes back into protect mode until 1 is unwired. is it the subs or amp (oh yea one of the subs sounds like its blown but still plays just distorted)

I am buying 2 of either amp and I wanted to know whether anybody has had a positive experience with either of these amps.

does the remote on the rockford fosgate t1500.1bd useful, or should i avoid it, and if possible, can u tune it or adjust it, like a gain knob thanks

So... ill be needing 2 amp wiring kits. One for my sundown 50.4 (either 4 or 8 gauge. Idk what it takes.) that im geting. And one for my sundown 2500.1 (0ga) later on this year. Now my question is... for the wiring kits, is there any major pros to buying brands such as stinger? I just figure that copper is copper. Not sure tho. I just don't wanna spend the rediculous price that they cost. I was just gonna search for cheaply priced amp kits. So...hdoes brand mahtter that much? Pros and cons? Hey ssa jfreezy here with another question. Is there a difference in sound between 1200rms and 1500rms or is it just spl? Wired to 1ohm will I hear a difference between the both with same amp settings? I'm choosing between a sundown audio sax 1200 or a saz 1500. I want to power two SA 10s or SA 12s at 1 ohm. Ported tuned about 33-34

I have all green led lights in my truck and i know that a lot of companys make amps with blue lighted logos but i want a green lighted logo. I need an amp that is 600 rms at 4 ohms. For my FI x12. Or if any one knows of one thats closer to 1000rms at 4 ohms but still cheap that would be great. I know my budget is really low but its about 150... Thanks for any help

I was wondering... Are there any amps in production that have: Class A: Left & Right channels Class D: Power stage for a subwoofer. All in one package / Amp case? If there isn`t. Is there any reason why this couldn`t be done or hasn`t been done yet?
