well.. got the sub and put it in................... turned the gain up some................. well most the way up..........................then my boy and i turned a cd on.............. and........................ how the hell did you ever build such a .......... GREAT SUB.. that is the best sounding sub i have ever heard... every note is so clear yet pounds so hard... my boy could not belive it .... it was worth every penny i paid then some... and that is even with my not so great amp... next will be a nice amp.. and i will be buying it from you guys..... thanks for everything !!!!!!!!! my boy want's2 12"s now.. he has 2 rockford P3's .. they get loud.... b…

After our monthly crew meeting at work one of my coworkers was driving in front on me. We both ended up at the same bank and he came up laughing at me. I asked him what was up and he said he could feel my bass on his back in his truck while driving in front of me. Thought that was pretty funny with 2 15" xcons sealed.

im wanting to try a new sub to get a little better sound quality. the box is right at 1.0 after port and sub displacement. i think 1.35 or 1.4 before. the problem is i only have 7 inches of mounting depth. i noticed the subs are built a little differently but each have the same mounting depth for the 10". mainly what im wanting to know is which sub would be better with the mounting depth i have.

I got my new SSA DCON today. I will be powering this with a Sundown SAX-125.2, and I am getting an enclosure made by Argent Audio. I haven't seen many pictures of this around so here you go. Thanks SSA!

Hey everyone like my title says been gone from the forum since i picked up my 2 10" dcons... and its because. WOOOOWWWW!!! These things in the right box can really get low and loud im driving and have to lower the volume so i can drive straight because all the pounding they make my god does my head vibrate soo much i get dizzy never had that feeling before. I love driving by others with 12" or 15" subs trying to show off i just turn up my volume game over its ridiculous people think i have 4 12's and when they see 2 10s their jaws just drop and its funny lol i stil need to deaden my car but i get lazy to do it anyways im super happy i bought these from a fellow forum memb…

Hi guyz, Just wondering a few things... Which one plays best in the high range (70hz-125hz)? Which one plays best in sealed? Which one has the best SQ? As in decay, attack, etc... Power delivery no object Thanks, Kelvin PS: believe it would be the Icon but never know...

I need some advice please. I just bought a 2012 VW Passat with plenty of space in the trunk and I have plans to upgrade the electrical. I have never had any subs in a ported box (and plan to build a ported box, 4.5 - 5 cubic feet, for this system), have never had subs bigger than 12"s and have never heard SSA subs. I have a DC 5.0K amp that I would like to run at 2 ohms, so I was thinking I could go with either 2 ICON 12" dual 2's or one ZCON 15" dual 1. I mostly listen to rock and metal music, but do enjoy some dub step and bass drops, so I would like to be loud but sound great doing it. What would you go with? I have had my xcon going on 4 years in a large ported box (2.7ish tuned to 30hz) running off a ED 9.1 and been away from this site awhile too. So I was wondering has anyone put the xcon in one of these types of enclosures and if so wht were the results?

I know the icon is not a spl sub, but I was wondering if anyone has had a ssa icon 12 (or other size) in a ported box metered? Just kind of curious as to what kind of decibels my icon can put out.

i just saw the ssa black friday sale on the 15" XCON for 289 plus shipping. even though i just got an ICON i am considering picking the XCON up. but im wondering if 1000 watts would be enough power for a while till i am able to get the proper amp for it. dont wanna do something wrong by underpowering it

I have 16.72274606 cubic feet available (calculator copy/paste ftw). I want new subs. I can do 4 15" Dcons sealed...Idk about ported. I could squeeze 2 18" Icons ported, or easily seal them. I could port an 18" Xcon. Mainly I'm wondering how much I lose by going sealed. So Dcons or Icons do well sealed? Throw some ideas out there!

Well, currently, I have two 10'' TC-7s. I'm looking to upgrade next summer, and I wanted to do four 8's, but I really wanted to try icon, which would force me to a 10''. Just curious is if there is anything floating around for an 8'' to be made.

Just wondering how could a xcon perform in a ht setup (movie 80% looking for low end ruble here) i was thinking big box low tuning like 6-7 ft/cu ported to 26-28hz, how would that model for my needs? thanks
