  1. No matter how many times it's told, there are always nonbelievers; assuming because you have a hole in an enclosure, it is ported, yes your enclosure has a hole in it but it is not a properly vented box, what you have is a leaky sealed box, and sadly it lacks the good things gained when you properly port a enclosure. Here is a technical understanding: http://www.bodziosoftware.com.au/PORTS.pdf
  2. Please read the post before this. I said from the picture I first saw it looked similar, but it was a poor quality picture. Also, only reason I'm trying to say they are similar is because of people saying Crescendo is to cheap. But yet its very similar to DC's amps(there are a lot of DC nuthuggers, who swear DC is the best). Not trying to say Crescendo copied or anything. I'm not really a DC Fan, but you say this in like 66% of your posts. Makes you seem mad hater-ish. Someone could just as easily come over here from SMD and say everyone here are SSA nuthuggers or Fi Nuthuggers but duh. This is the SSA FORUM. DC is a sponsor over there so naturally all the DC fans go over there. I'm just sayin... Anyway, I need a 150x4 dammit! Me likey for my shiz to match....
  3. No DC huggers here that I know of.
  4. Thats a beautiful alternator!! A big fat ground from the alt to batt will definetly help. Congrats again on the new house!! I signed the paper's on mine yesterday!
  5. I haven't had any time to work on my build. I just bought a house and I am doing some renovations. I am adding a 230v sub panel in my garage for my Lincoln 180c welder I got a DC Power 270XP! I want to add a direct ground from the alt to the battery, hopefully that will smooth out the voltage. Stock alt beside DC Power 270XP Stock alt vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtube_gdata_player&v=p58n2TZEk6Y DC Power 270XP http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtube_gdata_player&v=eUdKfrCNZkw

Oh, here's an old model sub, but we will still charge you the same as the new one you bought. I would get my money back. As for the Xcons, i would listen to them that loud EVERY day!
  7. No you can not sew it back together. Your subsonic filter is probably off..the silk screen on the amplifier is a joke at best for a reference point. JL audio explained this years ago in the 1000/1 series that the "25Hz" screen print on the amplifier with the gain pot all the way to the left is actually 16Hz...the "50Hz" screen print is actually 62 or 65Hz.. The only way to set it properly is either with a tone CD and/or a scope to see if the filter is actually doing its job and filtering the low frequencies out. Gotta thank korean/chinese amp manufacturers in putting in "equivalent parts" meaning that if the person who is buying the amps from them and branding them specs a 2% variant part..they do not know if it is 2% variance or not.. It could be 25-30% variance..which would throw the screen print on the amplifier off by upwards of 30-40Hz.
  8. It's the weekend, give it some time. You didn't notice this has been going on for almost 4 months huh? I see a pattern emerging at DC.
