  1. Just beating a dead horse. If you gotta ask, you shouldn't.
  2. Why don't you get OD and ID of the motor as well as the coils you wanna use for a start before buying stuff. You need to do more reading if you wanna playing around with this idea.
  3. Not sure if that response from the owner of Tantric stands right with me.
  4. open the hatch and get some real excursion video.
  5. shouldn't have bought the ebay alt.
  6. interested in the results from amp and subs.
  7. if its anything like the cea certification, its almost worthless to me.
  8. no one knows. and isn't that a ton of power for a SD sub?
  9. So what's with IA's non-reply?
  10. For the 1st basic mistake you made, you listened to ed lester.
  11. so why the polyfill? and have someone sit on the rear windshield to get better score.
  12. i would not go lower load if your electrical is weak.
  13. It has nothing to do with no love for the Q. Personally if I had to choose it'd be a no brainer to take it over a BL. The reason you see responses like that though is the classic misconception that most people have. Q = SQ, SQ <= shitty sound, BL = Loud, My wants are LOUD and sounding good so I must need the Q. Then the question becomes Q or BL and when that is asked it is always asked by someone who doesn't know (otherwise the answer is obvious) and I have yet to meet someone who doesn't know that the Q is better for. There are exceptions but they just haven't surfaced on this site yet. The decision needs to be based on enclosure and goals. Then it's really easy. In this case that screams BL. I'm just curious on your opinion, if you were in my place and had one Q 15, how would you design your box? Perhaps you didn't read my comments. First off you design a system, not just a box. Knowing nothing about the rest of then what I'd have I can't really answer. And of course, more importantly I seriously doubt my goals and yours would line up. Like not even close. That being said, if I had 3cuft and someone gave me a Q15 if you were wondering what I'd do with it, well I'd sell it and buy something that fit my goals better. That would probably be enough for a 12" Q. And you bought it already so why ask more options from others but your own ears now?
  14. As long as my "luxury family vehicle" can hit some lows better then cvrs that were tuned really high, ill be just fine lol You got to be kidding me. Both will get you from a to b but if you hit a wall like you did with your shitty box then sure it's not going to turn out well. PS- I'm a fan of a the Q but you should have gotten the BL.
  15. Get the biggest amp you can get for the money you want to drop and then buy a ton of fuses to test where your gain can be to keep from blowing your fuses. What size subs do you have?
  16. I'd take that XXX over anything said in this thread. 200 for box and sub is great.
  17. so links no worky.
  18. you should learn to build and design your own boxes and do testing on different firing and placement positions.
  19. jelly
  20. sounds good is subjectively relative.
