Is this for competing, or daily driving? If it's daily driving, you could possibly relax your power requirements some as the difference between, say, 1500w and 2000w won't be audible.

Thats the backwards way of thinking. You should buy the best driver that fits your needs then match it with an amplifier.

How about you tell us whether they are Dual 2 ohm subwoofers or Dual 4 ohm subwoofers, you can also go to this site and play with wiring options: Subwoofer Wiring Diagrams

If your wanting loud look into the new Zv.2 from Sundown, DP from IA or BTL from Fi. Not sure on AA or DC no experience with either. Have to remember though it is all about the install. Proper electrical, correct box alignment, amp setup and vehicle will have a lot to do with numbers as well.

nope..... do you guys know that you are the dumbest guys on this board? every thing i say you guys try to make fun of. lol but i could give a shit. i always try to give the best info to my knowledge. im sure ive installed hundreds of more systems than any of you talking shit. REASON i say nope is because my experiences with sub up port back in a trunk are not great. i found that sub back, port back is better for trunked cars that IVE HEARD. of course it is install dependant and there could be variables as to making sub up, port back sound good and have good output but im just stating MY EXPERIENCES. or start responding with some useful information! Nobody cares if you give a shit or not! All I have seen come out of your posts are nothing but !

Speakers are stupid, they do what they're told. It will play whatever notes you throw at it no matter how much power is going to it, it doesn't care it just wants to play

yes really. it's called head room. , you think all people will use it as headroom?(i like headroom too. ) Instead of cranking it up to the max, with sometimes not properly set gains. Not really smart to post that kind of stuff on a forum, where a lot of beginner's read up to gain knowledge and then they read that and think they need a bigger amp.(and burn woofers, and then ask what happened.) OP doesn't have to take my advice. It's just my 2 cents. If I had a choice of running a SSD with a 500 watt amp or 1000 watt amp I would choose the 1000 watt amp and set the gain lower to reduce strain on the amp. you guys are both right, it's just a personal preference.....if you have experience with setting proper gains and etc...then go for it.....but then again we don't want people coming on here reading that they can take a certain number of watts because then people will start to improperly tune there amps and bam we got a whole lot of fried subs....
