i wonder if it will be ok with a 1.3 ohm load...

a friend wants me to put three single 4 pr12's in his x-cab ranger, he already has the mtx....so what do ya think??

1.3 close enuff to 2 ohm to be alright??

that's along the lines i was thinking, and telling him. i just wanted a touch of reassurance...lol..

I believe they are made to be ran at 1ohm so you should be just fine.

As he said. I have ran the MTX 81000D at 1 ohm for months on end and never had a problem. It gets a little hotter then usual and easier to clip (just like the JBL 1200.1) but it was fine. My MTX 81000D only fried on me because of a really bad voltage drop in the middle of a burp at meca world finals last year. Expensive weekend for me that year.

hey,hey..update..lol

he actually had 3 dual 4 pr's (picsof install in showoff section)

so he's runnin at 2.6 ohms..which is better for the subs anyway as they are only rated for 200wrms a piece...lol...
