anyone know anything about this? i was readint his description of kicker speks and seen it http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-08-KICKER-KS502-5-...t=1218746599984 never even heard of it before. any ideas on what it does to help?

Older RF drivers used it a lot. It is a thick dark oil like fluid right on the voicecoil filling the gap. They said it cooled the VC for more power handing. I've seen a lot of tweeters with it in there. It really looks like dirt will collect on it but it seemed to not be a problem. Is it better....I can't say.

It would be cool to get some then do an experiment to see how much more power it can thermaly handle. i personly think that with how much the vc moves up and down on a spl sub it would push it out but im probly wrong.

It just adds power handling via cooling, regularly used in pro audio drivers.
