7.1 ??

I currently have a Yamaha RV-V800 5.1 receiver and enjoy it quite a bit.

I wouldn't go back to 'consumer brands' like sony, kenwood, jvc etc (no offense).

My Brother is getting married this Summer and I'm considering giving him my Yamaha 5.1 amplifier. (Is that tacky giving him a used amp.. I have original box etc).

I might be interested in buying a couple more Mission 701s and going with a 7.1 amp.

Any comments suggestions?

7.1 worth it .. any gains? problems?
