Hoenstly, I didn't want to say which HU it is to keep out bias (and save face for myself) ...but it start with a 'J' and ends with an 'N'...it's exactly what I was looking for in terms of features (ipod integration, 6.5" screen in dash, DVD player) and at the right price.....only thing I'm wondering about if it is lacking in is preamp output ...and if i should use a line driver or not.

I'm going to be running 2 US Amps - (as of now 1 i/s 4065 to a set of Z6 comps and 1 i/s 2100 to my sub) - and just wondering if that extra squirt of voltage would be mandatory or if the 2 V rms will be clean enough.

Thanks for any advice.

90% of all indash screens really lack on preout voltage...unless you spend $$$...if you think your h/u signal is weak, try sony's...blah......

we did a jensen screen and he had us quickly replace it with a clarion unit..

a line driver will help, and audiocontrol is the sweetness for stuff like that.

4volt or more is where it's at...
