So i just bought 2 Stinger voltage meters for my XS batteries to keep tabs on the volts and i am hoping to mount them on the side of the dash in my ford ranger. i dont have the tools or skills yet to do a whole fiberglass mold so i will be using a dremel to cut out 2 square holes to flush mount the 2 meters. the system i am getting will be hitting at least 140db so i need to figure out what adhesive (or whatever else i can use) to keep the meters stuck to the inside of the dash panel without having to use fillers. anybody got any advice how to keep these things in place?

Yesterday I finally got my ported box built, but now i need a little help with tuning my amp. I had the frequency set a little high because of the temporary sealed box i was using, but now i want to tune it for the lows. The box is 2.0ft^3 tuned to 32hz with a Fi Q12. This is all in a 96 honda accord off of 800 watts. What should i aim to tune my amps frequency at? Any help would be very appreciated.

i need some guidance here. I'm looking at a 2 way 10" mid bass with horn setup, the 10's I'm looking at seem to go up to around the 800-1200hz range so the horn needs to handle around 1k and up. i found some limited information from 07 on how a setup would work and from what i gather i want the horns positioned under the dash and firing parallel to the floor? with some processing i should be able to raise the sound stage up to about dash level? i also read that the width will more than likely be less than the distance between the a pillars if i don't add any other tweeters and that the horns would benefit from a 16khz and up super tweet? ive never done a horn…

yeah, so today i stopped by my local audio pawn shop today to see what they would give me for the rims on my truck. and of course, as soon as the owner of the shop walked up to my truck, he seen the big ass magnet of the zcon between the seats and wanted a demo.as usual, i got the " ssa audio?? iv never heard of them" so i cranked her up for him and he was very surprised to hear all that bass form 1 15. he then said he was going to look into ssa for his own personal set-up haha. i just wanted to share another one of my "ssa audio??" stories with you guys

does anybody have experience with the trunk space of a zx3 2002 ford focus? i guess it doesnt have to necessarily be 2002, but at least the same body style. Im recommending the BTL to my friend based on his goals and because im a Fi fan. he wants to be as loud as he can get with one btl, and hes pretty noob so immediately he assumed the 18 would be best for him. so what im asking is does anyone know if a box big enough for an 18 will fit in the focus's trunk? i dont have the dimensions, although i might later on when i talk to him. and it can take up the whole trunk except a lil room for the amp (most likely going to be an audioque 1200d.) hes probably just gonna be…

hey guys i have a 1997 f150 single cab with a 95A alternator. i think im going to get for my front stage Rockford Fosgate T1572C coaxial 5x7 and i am only going to use 2 and get rid of the back to stock speakers. I am going to run them off of the sundown 100.2 amp. For my sub i am going to get a FI Q and put it in a ported box and run it off of a sundown saz 1000 d amp. I am also going to do the big three, and for sound deadening i am going to use secondskin Damplifier. My questions are what do u guys think on that set up idea? anyflaws or suggestions u would liek to add? and i am wondering wat different gauge wire's i should use for everything? I also need some ideas for…

I have been ripped off, sold short, and stolen from in this hobby plenty of times. I have never ripped anyone off, ripped equipment off of anybody, or lied about any piece of equipment I have sold. Karma came back around again today in my favor, as I received a BNIB Fi BL 15" from an ebay purchase. Cost me 250$ shipped. =] Keep it real when it comes to selling your stuff and it will come back around! It has for me! =]

Hi again today ! I just want to know why so much people here run there amp at 1 ohms. Isn't it to hard for the car electrical system ? I have heard it is better to play at 4 ohms than 2, and 2 ohms is better than 1. What do you think, because I would like to buy an amp for my next sub. I need to choose between the DVC 1 or DVC 2 on a SSA Icon 15, and only after that, I will be able to pick a Sundown amp. Do you guys know how to have a good deal on a package sub + amp ? (SSA Icon 15 + Sundow, or other). Thanks for your help

Hello all, I'm extremely bored and have been thinking about updating my system so i decided to make my first post in quite awhile. Currently I have 1 12" Fi SSD wired to 2 ohms, running off a Sundown SAE 1200 v2, in a 2 cu ft enclosure tuned to 32 hz. Electrical wise, I replaced my stock battery with a group 78 AGM from O'reilly's (supposedly made by deka) and I replaced the factory ground with 0 gauge. My stock alt is 130 amp and at idle when hot my voltage stays at 14.6 and up, even at max volume with the air off it may drop to 14.4 on songs with a consisent beat (only seen 13 volts maybe a handful of times with the air on and at idle in drive). Now that it's starting t…

Hey guys, long time since i've actually posted on here. I've recieved my 2 12' FI Q's a few months ago, and i have to say, great subs. Beastly handling, but what i'm about to show you is kind of pathetic. I took my first video of these subs, and i have to say it isn't the best, but it gets the general idea of what i need to work and improve on. First i'd like to say that i'm only 16 and i had minimal help in installing this system. Therefore i didnt have any money to invest in a deck or any half decent equipment , what can you do when you don't have money? So here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TaACs2NjaEA Its not really a video to show off, but i'm seeing it as mo…

From XM to Sirius I got stuck with XM because of my Pioneer deck, and when Pioneer released the Sirius tuner I bought it up quick. And I'm so glad I did, Sirius sounds 100x better then XM. Their programming is much more "mature" in my opinion. XM has been deleting channels to make way for MLB channels. They took off my favorite channel and that just topped it off for me. There is much more I could rant on and on about XM, but I'm glad I have Sirius now. Also the Sirius tuner is 1/2 the size of the XM tuner. But was also a little harder to install. Channel 27

DD 3515 Supercharged on an M2b. Im thinking of 4.25 after displacements tuned to 36 hz. This will be a comp vehicle and a decent demo car. Obviously nothing spectacular, i compete in smaller classes. Would like it to still play decent on music. I listen to everything country, rap, rock, 80's-90's metal. Do you guys think 4.25 net to 36hz will be a good combo, ive never played with a 15" before.

Sup guys! I was wondering/ asking myself.. On birtsheets from Rockford Fosgate or Kicker, etc amps, why do diferent wattage ratings come up on birthseets? If a zx2500.1 is built the same as the next zx2500.1 built why would one say I.E 2,753 vs the second amp that says 2,945? If they both consist of the same parts and what not, why would power variate instead of being similar? Thanks for the input

I installed my big 3 about 2 months ago, and I was in a hurry to get it done. I want to help shield the wires from the heat and possibly change my battery terminal to a ring-style terminal. Will Techflex be enough? Or should I put on some wire loom as well? I'd like to be able to just put on some color matching techflex to my power, ground, and amp cables, but if the AZ heat is going to beat down on those wires this summer, I'll wrap some wire loom around them if need be. What do you guys think? EDIT: KnuKonceptz 0g wiring. According to their website, with the insulation, it's 16mm thick, just over half an inch. Should I go for the 1/2 techflex or the 3/4? Same questi…
