Trying to plan my system for when taxes come in. Trying to find out if I can fit two of these in my xb. Will be sealed cus I suck at making ported boxes and not sure if 2 sealed will fit or not. Measured the cargo area to be 7.49cf if I did my math right. Area was 38*20*17 for dimensions. Could go an inch or two higher on the height (20). Hopefully powered by a saz3000d. Dc 320 amp alt. Just trying to figure out how much to save up before taxes come. Also I would have to order d1 coils for that amp right?

Dear SSA techies, I am going to be running my 15" XCON in a ~2.5^3ft sealed enclosure. I am curious if when the 15" ZCON is available will I be able to do a direct swap in my sealed enclosure? Thanks, edub

I was just wondering what the difference is between the small enclosure size recommendation and the optimal size recommendation for the SSA subs? How is output affected by going with the optimal size vs the smaller size? Is is a noticable difference?

My Xcon 15 came in today and its probably an understatement to say I'm excited. Just a little under a month now, and I get to throw this thing in and start jamming. And to think, before I started doing research and then found SSA, I was gonna get an Alpine Type-X 12 as the anchor of my "all Alpine system" . Everything was gonna match and to me, thats where it was at. Hell, if someone had asked me about 4 or 5 months ago about Sundown or SSA, I might have said "Aww hell naw don't get that no-name BS, get Alpine and JL". Lets just say I've evolved past that way of thinking and we'll leave it at that. Anyway, here are some pics: Now thats what I call one …

I finally hooked everything up in my suburban and it sounds even better than I thought it would. I have a 18" Xcon tuned to 35 hz. I have it hooked up to a JBL 1200.1 II and it is plenty of power for me. As far as music reproduction the Xcon is the best I have ever heard. I've played every type of music and it sounds ridiculously good on everything. When i turn up it literally feels like its hitting you in the chest. Its starts getting hard to breath on certain songs. lol. Props go out to SSA for making a Top knotch woofer!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When i get the wires and stuff cleaned up I'll put up some pics and maybe a video. Just a break down on what else Im ru…

I have a 98 s10 ext cab, have not chosen box specifications, or an amp yet. For the amp I'm thinking about getting a 1500 watt audiopipe. For the box I plan to go ported. Which would be louder and with deeper bass 2 12" gcons which are 750 rms or 1 12" icon which is 1250 rms?

I managed to crack the dustcap on beloved OG blue cone Icon 10. I won't get into how I did it but it really has me pissed. I went and got a carbon fiber cap from Fix My speaker. My question....What harm would there be in just glueing the cf cap right over the original? I haven't weighed the cf cap but it feels like it weighs next to nothing. Would it throw off my parameters a lot?

We just launched the all new SSA Icon. Check it out here: http://store.soundsolutionsaudio.com/products/icon-12-1250w-subwoofer-by-ssa-new-for-2018.html A nice mixture of a look back and an advance forward. Other sizes will join the 12 as funding allows.

This topic is just out of curiousity. Which of these would be louder? They should take up almost the same amount of space as eachother. The 4 dcon 10s would be in 1.25 cu.ft each tuned to 33hz and the xcon 15 would be in 4.5 cubes tuned to 33hz. I'm just thinking about setups I'd like to get in the future when I get a Rav4 or a Highlander.

We are considering doing a "trade up" program for SSA products. Loose details would include. Trade in your SSA product (SSA SUBS ONLY!) for a pre-derterminded value to be discounted off your new SSA product. Example: DCON trade (x-amount) - ICON MAP PRICE (y-amount) = total (y-x) This is just an idea at this point and we feel would help circulate our subs a bit better. We would also be selling the trade in's in our "Certified Used" Section on the shop after they have been tested. So seems to be a win win, you could get a great used product at a discount, or a brand new product at a discount. Let us know your thoughts!

I'm curious what the main sound difference would be between a 1 vs 1.25 cu ft box tuned to 30 hz? I'm trying to build a custom box in my fusion against the passenger side wall in my trunk. I can maybe get 1.2 cu ft if I run the port outside the box, otherwise I'm looking at a net of closer to 1 with a round port. Alo, how important is it for the port to fire out on the same plane as the woofer? Would it be ok to let it fire out the side toward the rear seats with the woofer firing across the trunk? Thanks
